We are supposed to get hit with the storm mid afternoon around LA/Beverly Hills... but it's still bright and sunny, with a few patchy clouds right now. Can't wait to get home and take a walk on the snowy pier, maybe eat at Ruby's tonight if it's still there by the time I get off. :thumbsup

LOL Ruby's is a hamburger joint, similar to Johnny Rockets, that's at the end of the pier in HB. Old fashioned style, with usually cute waitresses dressed in 50's ish garb... decent burgers for the price. I'd kill for a decent taco cart in the city though :winkwink:

You mean Taco USA, with it's $9 specialty tacos, don't fill that void?

dyna mo 03-02-2015 03:02 PM

The little place next to Munchies is actually surprisingly good. The wife brought me a burrito from there and it's honestly the best wet burrito I've ever had.

Is that real ice or Chinese ice?

MrBottomTooth 03-02-2015 03:57 PM

Looks warm and inviting. It's been below -20 c for over a month or two here. Finally warming up this week though, just in time for a massive bout of freezing rain tomorrow.

When I'm not feeling a drive to Santa Ana, or battling the Main St crowd for Sancho's or Georges I'll hit Trejos on Beach and Slater next to Johnny's, or Alerto's on brookhurst. Both pretty decent spots as well. :thumbsup

I was thinking of alerto's! but didn't mention it because technically, it's in Fountain Valley. :winkwink:

:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

too funny! but yeah they are good and have the drive-through. I've got a bit of history in LB so we go to tacos loco #2 up there since forever. We prolly drive past dozens and dozens of killer taco joints to get there !
