Our pool looks like green soup, any tips?

I know some of you guys have pools. Are there any chemical's or other stuff that gets rid of that stuff?

Don't you use chemicals in it already? Obviously your chlorine is low.

My gf's son has a small 1000 gallon pool and when he doesn't take care of it, it gets algae and turns pea green. I usually shock it by throwing those chlorine frisbies in there for a few days until it clears up

You have to use some anti-algae chemical more frequently

It's so much easier and healthier to do weekly maintenance than dumping tons of chemicals and scrubbing algae like you are going to have to do. Just sayin ....

We have been but it got a bit neglected over winter...

It would be a real pain to start again with a water change.....

Any chemical's in particular or just more chlorine?..

PornoPlopedia 03-05-2015 09:59 AM

2 liters of Algicides 40 or more. Recirculate 24 hours and then flush.
Next day shock your pool with an excessive amount of chlorine.
Backwash your filter and your should be fine

Put some algae eating fishes into your pool. No chemicals + fishing. :)

pinkz 03-05-2015 12:12 PM

convert it to a salt water pool, much healthier, less maintenance.

Would help if you provided pic. Scrub the walls, get all that shit mixed up and nasty as possible. Turn on your pump and hit it with 10 bags of SHOCK. Scrub walls every 12 hours to mix it up. Should see results in 48 hours.

pornguy 03-05-2015 02:15 PM

Step 1. Turn on filter for at least 4 hours a day.
Step 2. Put chlorine tab in the filter basket.
Step 3. Might need to add a tab in a floater for the pool.
Step 4. check the chem balance with the tester.
Step 5. Vacuum that fucker.

MiamiBoyz 03-05-2015 11:32 PM

Get a pool boy who can clean that messy pool and also puts out!
