Breaking: Actor Harrison Ford reportedly injured in Calif. plane crash
no story yet :helpme
update: A small plane piloted by Harrison Ford has crash-landed at an L.A. golf course ... but we're told the actor has survived. TMZ has learned ... Ford was piloting what appears to be a vintage 2-seater fighter plane Thursday ... when something went wrong and he crashed into Penmar golf course in Venice, CA. We're told Ford suffered multiple gashes to his head and was bleeding. Two doctors who happened to be at the golf course rushed over to treat the actor. Emergency personnel arrived to the scene a short time later. Ford was transported to a nearby hospital. 72-year-old Ford is a longtime aviator -- piloting planes and helicopters -- and has crashed multiple times in the past. Harrison Ford -- Plane Crashes ... Just because you can afford a helicopter or airplane doesn't mean it's a good idea you should fly it. :2 cents: . |

Hate it when the Millennium Falcon is in the shop and you have to slum it with an old fighter plane.

Let's hope they've finished filming the next star wars. The last thing we need is the last half of the movie to have a cgi Harrison ford walking around voiced by Jim Henson's son.

So much for the Aluminum Falcon.

http://www.ibiblio.org/hyperwar/AAF/...-VI-img568.jpg PT designates it as a Primary Trainer, pilots transitioned from it to Basic Trainers like the BT13 http://www.razorbackeaa.org/BT-13-contest.jpg and then to the Advanced Trainers like the AT6 for fighter pilots. http://www.warbirdheritagefoundation...6_F_P001_W.jpg While the bomber pilots went to a twin engine Advanced Trainer like the UC78 http://www.warbirdalley.com/images/uc78-02.jpg When I used to hang out at a small local airfield my friends had a PT22, it was fun to fly but it did have a reputation for being a bit quirky. In fact it was a PT22 that killed a guy I knew back in the late 70's or early 80's. |
Has crashed multiple times. I'll bet most pilots only get one of those.

An ancient man in an ancient plane, what could possibly go wrong?
|
Apparently he was trying to make the kessel run in under 12 parsecs. Old fool.
|
He shouldn't have tried the Kessel run in such a small plane.
Shit, beat me to it... Quote:

Just like a privelaged white guy. Crashes on a fucking golf course and two doctors come running to his aid. Couldn't land in Compton Harry?
Maybe there was a snake in the cockpit and poor Indy was distracted. |
