I think AVN does something like this. But I have been in this business for 13 years and have never known who is the best actress of the year etc. We really should have something that is not DVD related but is done by the major tubes or something.

If it was fan based it would be even better as the best bj scene could then be used to tailor other scenes. It would be research.

Just a recent thought as I noticed I had no clue as to who has ever won any of those things. After looking it up, I can see why. It must be DVD based or something as I did not even recognize some of the recent winners.

Yes, it started way back in the days of VHS and Beta, way, way back and it is still primarily DVD company focused since the brick and mortars still use AVN as a way to see sales charts and do their purchasing.

Although we have won quite a few awards for amateur over the years, it always galls me when completely non amateur scene/series win.... oh yeah... and the fact that they never let me up on stage to make a drunken award acceptance speech.

I remember once hearing Roxanne Hall bitching that she didn't want the award because they would stop calling her for work. LOL

But otherwise it's always been political the awards show. If I recall there was once some sort of noise about Heidi (joy) Pike-Johnson being able to fix the awards.

The idea is that this is not really marketed or it is I have just been that oblivious. A true system of fan based voting could show what people really want versus what we think they want.
I,guess if it is rigged or political then we just pass out the awards and hope the show itself makes a profit versus use it to market.

If there was a way to measure the liquid mass of all loads dropped to each clip, then the awards could be based on that criteria. For example:

"Hot Brunette Suck on his big Shlong and Ride it so good" wins, with ten 55 gallon drums of jizz accumulated.

The last thing we need is yet another awards show. We have far to many as it is. If you've really been in this business 14 years and don't know of the 20 zillion we have, I just don't know what to say to you. You clearly just haven't been paying attention.

Why not a Nobel Prize?

ok, so the idea I am thinking of is make a limited tube of the "Best of." Hold a contest based on the surfer votes.

Now based on my own lack of interest in this over the years maybe I have my answer hahhaha. I still like the idea.
