Another unfortunate Pit Bull incident

Sad one. The guy who was attacked (and killed) was trying to save the life of the dog's owner.

Why mark the dog as being pit bull? from the description just sounds like a dog who thought it was protecting it's owner.

If the owner had a teacup poodle would there have been the same outcome?

Probably my last poodle had a terrible temper

CDSmith 03-11-2015 08:02 AM

I guess now there will be an outcry for a ban...

...to prevent people with heart conditions from being allowed to own pit bulls.

Best-In-BC 03-11-2015 08:09 AM

Those are some bulldog looking pitbulls. Thats not a purebreed.

Best-In-BC 03-11-2015 08:09 AM

Yeah, thats not a pitty at all.

dyna mo 03-11-2015 08:10 AM

No, but if it had been a standard Poodle, it would likely have.

L-Pink 03-11-2015 08:31 AM

Poor dog, every instinct she had probably told her to defend her owner.

How many fatal standard poodle attacks are there? Couldn't find a single one.

there are no pure breads or standards, thats what makes them a complete wild card for temperament issues.. That being said, you could say the same for any mixed breads really, except pits are normally stronger.

Bladewire 03-11-2015 09:20 AM

Sad all around. Everyone dies cause they're gonna put the dog down right? All involved will be dead then.

michael.kickass 03-11-2015 09:37 AM

poor dog

Your right, they should just kill any dog/animal that could cause harm to a man woman or child.

What does that have to do with pointing out the fact that standard poodles are not involved with human fatalities?

dyna mo 03-11-2015 09:52 AM

no good deed goes unpunished.

Vendzilla 03-11-2015 10:06 AM

That's really sad

CDSmith 03-11-2015 10:43 AM

If you try and save someone these days you'll either get sued if they die, or the guy's dog will kill you.

Damn it's tough being a good samaritan these days.

Evil Chris 03-11-2015 12:57 PM

I love dogs, but I have to admit that the PB isn't a breed I'd choose (if I were choosing a specific breed). All of the dogs I've had have been rescues.

I'd simply avoid the PB so that I'd avoid any trouble associated with the breed.

Yup, she reacted with natural instinct. The outcome of the story would of been different if the owner was getting mugged. She'd be a HERO

My buddy has his male Pitt staying with a friend and they have 5 acres and horses next door. This poor dog had never seen dogs that big, so he has been chasing them back and forth is getting all cut from the exercise over the last 2 months.
The owner of the property is a great friend, but she has a Pomeranian that's in heat. They have been kept in separate rooms, but if that Pitt ever got a hold of that little girl, I'm sure he would rip her a new one!

klinton 03-12-2015 05:50 AM

usually people who have Pitbulls have some mental issues or are involved in some shady biz/ tactics. I avoid them and their dogs, usually it is just the human trash who feels "safe" with the most dangerous and territorial dog in the world - or at least one of the most dangerous

its like walking with unlocked gun in public place - what for ? and who does it ?

I think that the people who see the pitbull walking should just unlock their real guns, as this is what pitbulls actually are.

I just going to post this..... Fucking horrible.

Pitbulls don't kill people. Pitbulls do.

(No, I didn't get confused when writing that. Pitbulls kill people.)

One buddy just recently told me that beating people is obsolete in his line of work.. he now locks a guy up in a van, with two dogs. Usually under one minute suffices.

He is into, hmm.. lets say economics.

You know some really great people.

The replies to this topic make me laugh..

GFY conseritards at their finest..

First off it's scare tactics "now THEY will want to ban dogs".

Then it's on to the poor dog just being loyal. Poor little dog.. Yea a dog that just killed a guy.. yes poor little doggie..

Meanwhile cops beat people to death, shoot them in the backs and it's just non stop "didn do nuttns" or "he had it commin".

It's amazing how easy it is to know what certain people's responses will be to certain situations.. based on their political football team. People wonder why I troll Right Wingers and Russians so much.. this is why. Barely even a mention of the guy whom was killed, just poor little doggie..

It's like they are fucking brain dead zombies whom are pre-programmed to do, say and act all the same.
