the problem lies with the content being produced......
porn has always been about the sexual kind of FANTASY
stop making content that comes from the 1990s.....u need to TAP into the sexual fantasies of today..... for example 50 shades of grey....thats a good example of what women are thinking about. and what do guys fantasize about nowadays ?.....its not about going to a massage parlor for a happy ending...we can pay for that anytime we want to....its not called a fantasy if we can do it ourselves regularly... ex-gf niche is a good example of a 'fantasy' that was tapped into. |
Allow me to interject, if you will?
I find your story extremely intriguing, my brethren. So much so, that I wish you would do us all of the kind favor and tell it again. Best regards. |

In your 50 shades theory... porn should be: a crying man getting comforted by a woman... |

Well the OP seems to be the sexpert on male AND female fantasies so I am wondering how much he monetizes these fantasies. I'm guessing not much. LOL
|
The problem lies in that people want to jerk their dicks off and cum on their hand or photos of women they will never have any chance of meeting. They no longer have to pay to do this, they just go to a tube site or even worse a cam site like MFC or Chaturbate where incredibly hot women just lie there all day squirting and fisting themselves for the price of a cheeseburger.
You need to stop analysing the ins and outs of a cats ass and realise you are in terminal decline. |
Agreed stonehammer,
Producers seem to be stuck in a rut with minimal creativity. Quote:

I think a lot of the *main* fantasies stand the test of time, especially those that are all about power. Technology can add a new twist, but it's the same old thing really.
The problem is that big American porn has always done fantasy badly. Cumsluts with gaping asses and pornguys on steroids is a show, not a fantasy. It's a shame to see a lot of the European producers resorting to the same style. |

I agree in general. Most solo material is more like regular models with clothes off. It is great for "fashion show gone naked"- fantasy, but otherwise not.
And the hardcore is more like some art performance gone kinky. Although better material doesn't solve all problems, but at least better material is more competitive. |

Threads like this are funny... Attempts at making it seem as if giving away free porn isn't a problem at all. Teasing is one thing but when you give it all away you lose the impulse buyers that are looking for anything to get off on quick.

sorry but once gonzo became a money maker, producers dont need to make effort on story. besides 99% of porn sluts can't act even close to making story work. it would be close to impossible to make a real 50 shades movie. you would need jennifer lawrence to star in it, someone with kink & can act too.
just do the best you can as a producer & if the world likes what you do, money flows your way. or at least to the guy stealing your shit. :) |
I think we are missing that as porn goes more mainstream so will porn tastes. Sexart and Femjoy type of sites have already moved that way. The gonzo slutty whores getting railed has an audience but so does good looking girls have sex.

Good thread...

Ironic right? :1orglaugh:1orglaugh Please don't take this the wrong way I'm just kinda posting this and chuckling, no ill will, all good :) You want us to create more quality porn that taps the imagination so it could go on illegal tubes with plugrush, embedded from the tubes in to spam blogs you teach how to make in your GFY educational series contribution. One article a month, rinse and repeat until you get 100 right? Plugrush on those. Again, nothing against Plugrush or you, all good here and you're a great guy, I've read your posts before. Just saying from a content creators perspective, the irony is glaring. It's the fucked up way the criminal aspect of this industry has twisted good minds. A lot of us are waiting out creating better stuff until the landscape settles on the stolen content issue. Until then, as you've seen, the industry is going to get more and more cookie cutter quick easy cheap to make stuff. With little imagination. As Hollywood has done the last few years as well. Just the way it goes. |
I agree.
As a producer, i can honestly tell that my stuff with twist and interesting story sells so much better than just generic porn :) |

The problem is budget for time and crew. You need time to rehearse the actors, time to light the scene, to work out camera moves, to get good sound, to do several takes, you need good make up, hair dressers and art dept. You need to freedom to shoot a few great minutes a day as opposed to shooting an hour a day of routine porn. and at the end of that people pay the same as gonzo shot in a hotel room with a hooker. |

but just cause a person can act doesnt mean they are right for a part. getting the person that can act, can fuck & looks just right? just about impossible. Hollywood fails at chemistry in 85% of their movies & none of those movies has sex. so for a pornographer to make 50 shades right? close to impossible. :2 cents: |
If you look through the history of sex and porn, you'll see that there's nothing new under the sun. Bondage gear catalogs from the 1930s have the same types of items as those today. Olisbos (dildos) were common in ancient Greece. Etc. etc.
The main difference today is the availability of porn to the average person. |
