"Passe" as in this sentence from a recipe????

I gathered as much, but I still want to know how the word is translated here - "spread" the puree, "spoon" the puree, "add" the puree, "dollop" the puree...

In this case, its "spread"

But the actual Word is "Pass" as in "transfer to"
