EuroNews banned on the Ukraine

They consider there is too much pro-Russian propaganda in the EU media:

Quote:

At a meeting of the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine on March 19, it was decided to revoke the license to broadcast TV channel Euronews in Ukrainian.
src: State Committee of Ukraine canceled the license for the broadcasting of the Ukrainian language

EuroNews in Russian (the native language for most Ukrainian citizens) has been already banned on the Ukraine in September 2014.

You mean like all those journalist whom suddenly wind up dead in Russia after having anti Putin stances?

Is this the FREEDOM you seakK

List of journalists killed in Russia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The CPJ lists Russia as "the third deadliest country in the world for journalists" since 1991, exceeded in the number of deaths only by Algeria (1993–1996) and post-invasion Iraq.[20] It is more revealing, perhaps, to set Russia alongside its G20 partners — not just the USA and France, but also Saudi Arabia and China (see Table 1, in IFJ report).[21] Russia's problem, shared by certain other members of G20 (India, Brazil and Mexico), is not simply one of the number of deaths but that the killing with impunity has persisted over time.

Notice Russia is in company of other 3rd world countries as the problem is so bad they can't even compare it to 1st world countries..

You you just brush off Russia having the 3rd highest murder rate in the world for journalist to bitch about Ukraine shutting down a news station. It's rather Ironic that your beloved Russia has also shut down news papers and even forced CNN out of the country.

I guess your Russian Freedom of the press works only for pro Putin news. :1orglaugh

Sid70 03-20-2015 08:35 AM

Rooski keeps irritating me with his "On the Ukraine" thing. I reserve a right to say in the "deep ass Russia" then, good?

Sometimes it's better to refrain from speculation, otherwise you look a... :clown

If you want to watch Putin news, you switch to Federal TV channels/media, but if you don't, you read and watch independent news (rbс.ru, tvrain.ru, slon.ru, echo.msk.ru etc).

FYI: there is independent (commercial) media in Russia and most of these companies can be barely be considered as pro-Putin ones. But course you didn't know that because of a serious lack or education and information. So I don't blame it on you, son :)

Forgot to add that as opposed to free and democratic Ukraine, here in unfree and totalitarian Russia, I have EuroNews (both English and Russian ones), Blumberg, France 24, BBC and Deutsche Welle in the default (minimal) TV packet. What a shame :1orglaugh

No you didn't say but you are bitching about Ukraine not having freedom of press when they have been subject to Russian thumb on head for many years. Of course the're going to be fuck ups in Ukraine or reprisals against pro Russian propaganda. They are at war with Russia in an un-official way, so of course they are going to make moves to crush any Russian propaganda that they can.

Meanwhile Russia has no war inside it's boarders yet it still crushes freedom of speech in a most violent way if the message is not pro Putin, Pro Red Russia.

For someone whom claims to be anti Putin, you just eat up the propaganda like a good little commie. It's always different when it comes to Russia as Russia can never be wrong in your eyes or there is always an excuse for why the same action by Russia is not the same as in Ukraine.

Face it you are brainwashed to hate Ukraine for no real reason other than your commie overloads tell you to hate them.

You didn't get it again. CNN has no Russian version and it's almost all about the USA, so it's not somehow popular here anyways. The ones who know English, can easily watch it via IPTV - no prob with that. The EuroNews is a way different thing. It's mostly about European countries and is available on all national languages. So every single Ukrainian or Russian citizen can watch it (no English knowledge required). I know you are too dumb to see the difference, so just believe me - the influence of CNN or Fox is just incomparable with EuroNews on this continent. W/o EuroNews Ukrainians have no access to the international news on their own language anymore. Simple because there is no alternative to it. They just cut off the all the information form outside.

Ok, I'll try to explain it on your level. See, if someone will ban all TV translations of baseball and so-called American "football", nobody will even note that here, because we don't watch this bullshit anyways. But if you try to ban classic European football or ice hockey translations, there will be a full-scale revolution here :pimp

And once again, I don't want to brush up off anything. I'm not a journalist and not a president (you have the highest murder rate in the world for presidents ;)). I'm a regular citizen, so I happy that I don't live in a country where cops can shoot you dead just for fun (how many US citizens (not journalists or presidents) were killed by cops in 2014, ah?)

So once again, don't be an ass clown. Pleeeeease :)

I guess freedom of speech is not important value on Ukraine. Euronews is primary European Union project, Ukraine wants to be member of EU - and blocks Euronews. Thats funny.

What are you talking about? Euronews is Kremlin's project. And it is not freedom of speech, it is propaganda.

Dude even you can't possibly believe that Russian police are any better. I've seen plenty of cases where Russian police were caught shaking people down for money, roughing people up, or straight up killing them with zero oversight.

I don't mind when people from Norway, Switzerland, Netherlands, etc. Start criticizing the US over human rights, but the level of ignorance you have to have to live in Russia and criticize other countries is astounding.

I did post that video here at least twice, but unfortunately it's a fake (a staged one).

I have no idea how staged Russian police video could be related to this thread (I guess in the same way as CNN). However if you want to talk about it... here is a real video for you:

P.S. I can post a ton of similar videos. Just let me know if you want it.
