What is the benefit of trading traffic?
 

If I have 100 clicks I send away instead of monetize and I get 100 back, what did I gain?

Skimmed traffic and pissed off surfers.

I get it, if it is getting new visitors for your site aka those who don't yet know it. If it is just getting huge numbers of people pissed off, I don't get it.

It works like this...

you have a site with super cool thumbs... attractive and bigger the better...
You get 100 visits and if the traffic is good (productive) it will click an average 3-4 thumbs...
(while some will probably click 10 or more)...

And that's the deal... you have sent one (unique) visitor to couple other sites and they now owe you one visitor... or you sold that visitor to 2-3 traffic brokers and have just made 200-300 ROI...

Looks easy on the paper but really hard to do in practice because of all bot visitors and low productive traffic etc...

ideally, you would get them to click around a little on your site first, before you send them off to another site and also try to keep the skim at a lower % ...

+ good alexa rank + sell traffic on ppv + more people see you site so if your site is good , you can expect few % as returning users. + googd for selling site
