Euro Webtainment - worth it or not?
 

Who has been there? is it possible to make some deals?

We have developed some brand new webcam services, would like to represent it there plus some decent adult sites in portfolio (buying/selling traffic).

Predominately German speaking business audience. While many speak English, I suggest you take/send someone that speaks German fluently if you want to court them. Based on observation they are mostly there to relax. As a perceived outsider many Germans are not very approachable ... however when they actually agree to do business with you ... THEY DO!

This is a good opportunity to ask who will be attending the EWT this year :)

because it is quite a different audience that attends and many of those that do are in Phoenix right now and don't ready GFY

I haven't missed one EWT since 2003, to me it makes sense.

And it isn't that German centered anymore as it used to be, you're fine with English

but it is not really a webmaster show

...worth it!
 

In our experience every edition of EuroWebtainment was worth its while :)

We have attended for very many years now and always did business. As with pretty much every event it always depends on the preparation beforehand. So setting up your meetings in advance, knowing who you wish to meet surely helps ;-)

Also, I'd second MaDalton's experience that you're fine with English. Also it is definitely B2B. You meet decisionmakers!

It's a great show and was already mentioned, you will meet a lot of decision makers since it's a relaxing and more island-type show. It'll be my 5th year attending and i'd never miss it.

Everyone speaks English there aside from some of the hotel staff ;)

Need another reason? The First Mobile Cash Pool Party will be off the hook!!!!

Never missed one in 10 years. Some things are very specific for this show ;-), but year after year it was becoming more and more international. Hotel is very nice by Mallorca standards and sun is there. Good business can be found.

They send a team of 4 girls to the shows to attract more international companies. I can recommend it, its fun and even when there are still plenty of germans... Its one of the biggest markets in the world and some of the biggest companies in the industry are from germany or have german roots.
