First Post From Windows 10...

A few problems with multiple monitors - It could be that I have not understood how the new task bar works yet...

I would like to see live tiles on the desk top - It seems obvious?....

It feels fast - I will report back when I have DreamWeaver and PS fired up together...

MPGdevil 03-27-2015 12:16 AM

Live tiles on desktop will just create a new storm of protests.

You almost have it like that with Windows 8.1. Just use same background on desktop and Metro and hit the Windows key.

I was hoping that this new W-nightmare will be here only months later..

I'm fine with Win7 (could be fine even with XP64 if the support was not stopped) and don't wanna change anything.

Same here :thumbsup

Every change in windows turns to be a nightmare; some apps not working any more, loosing time to find a command carefully hidden in some unlikely place, etc. :censored

True, w7 kicks ass. So far I've found no reasons to switch OS

I'm actually loving the shit out of Windows 10, they really improved Windows with this one and I'll be getting the full version the day it releases.

It was going to cause issues because of win 95 and 98.

i see, haven't been keeping up with it since i went back to w7 for my main box after trying that pos 8/8.1

My biz partner had to downgrade because he suddenly could not print PDFs.

All I could do was advise him once again to switch to Mac.

I see your excitement

Rochard 03-27-2015 09:37 PM

I don't feel the need to change an OS every time a new one comes out. I used to be like that, but obviously newer does not always mean better.

In short, if it isn't broken, don't fix it.

I run Win7 on my two big boxes and my two laptops, never had any issues. On my little M$ Surface it was Windows 8, which makes perfect sense if you are on a Surface with the laptop / tablet combo.

I'm terrible with betas/alphas or anything new - Probably why my computer never works:upsidedow...

So true.

The Porn Nerd 03-28-2015 11:13 PM

I still use XP on one of my machines. LOL Also the horrid Windows 8.1 on another machine. I need to upgrade the XP model but am waiting til 10 comes out.

When is that? Maybe I will upgrade them both so they match.

freecartoonporn 03-29-2015 02:05 AM

i am still on xp, too afraid to reinstall everything,,,,,,on newer os.

ianmoone332000 03-29-2015 06:41 AM

Loved xp, hated vista, love 7 which im still using and 8 was awful. 10 is gonna have to be really good for me to leave 7. i honestly think windows 7 is even better than xp and thats saying something as xp is really good

Same here. No point in bothering with upgrades.

Or you could advice him not to fix what is not broken (as you see in this thread regarding win7 or whatever your friend was on).
