Thinking about selling website, what is it worth?
 

Hi, I'm thinking about selling my website. I was wondering what the value normally is when you sell a website. It makes around a 1000 dollars each month with plugrush, juicyads, exoclick and affiliate sign-ups. The visitor counts has been a lot higher than the current count but with some TLC it could do a lot better.

If your income you have encompasses all of what you are offering in what it truly earns I would sell for no-less than 10k, will people in general think its worth that, no, but web site earners are getting harder and harder to find, specially quality sites that put the surfer first.

The reason I'm asking this because I see a lot of very low offers on this site for websites making money. I think 10K would be quite fair but I doubt people will pay it. A site with earnings and potential for a lot more should get a fair offer I would asume.

You can usually get 4-8 times monthly revenue in adult biz.

Just keeping the website running for 4 months is more lucrative then selling the website if it's only 4 times revenue. The costs of the website are only 120 dollars a year..

the thing is people aren't buying potential

if you do this, this, and this, it will be worth more....that doesn't really matter. Its like saying pay more for my house because when you renovate it the value will increase

Site is worth 6-8 months what it makes now when it comes to adult, to be honest there are not that many people walking around with cash to spend despite what you hear.


You can take my advice or leave it, I have likely bought more sites on here than almost anyone though so I have a pretty good gauge of the market

Other things can increase the value of your website besides just what you earn right now with it. Do you own any exclusive content or custom scripts? Do you have an awesome domain? All things like that help.

It's worth what someone will pay for it :)
