End of the world dreams
 

Do you ever have them? What do you think they mean?

I read that they mean you're going through profound personal changes. That may be, but the dreams don't feel that way to me. I've had apocalyptic dreams for years now. Not a lot, but a few per year, some very frightening, to the point they wake me up out of pure fear. Anyone else every experience anything like that?

In this dream, did the Hopi Indians fly over the mountain to meet the bat people?

I used to have them quite often. Giant nuclear bombs detonating on the horizon, an approaching wave of fire. I've dreamt that both Al Gore and Tony Robbins were the Antichrist, not sure who was more frightening.

used to get them when I worried all the time. Once i started letting the little stuff go they stopped.

As Jon Stewart said today, USA finally succeeded tho wage a war against itself. Bombing ISIS in Tikrit supporting the Iranians, and guiding Saudis to bomb Hutis in Yemen who are supported by the Iranians. So, USA finally managed the impossible: " sucking and blowing at the same time". I will not even mention the "plastic hair idiot" negotiating the Iran's bomb in Geneva.

This would make for a new analogy : " Sucking and blowing at the same time while being able to get fucked in the ass".

End of the world is not a dream but a reality. First Iran gets one, then the Saudis and then the Israelis ( who have one already) launch a "preventive strike" against each other and then deciding it is all America's fault and each lop one ( or two) on the USA

I've heard that dreams "mean" all kinds of things but I think I've decided that dreams don't mean anything. They are just random thoughts, sometimes strung together into a story of sorts. If you're preoccupied with thoughts like nuclear war, you may dream about nuclear war.

Some say that your mind is really active when you sleep, and that you can put this to good use with problem solving skills. Basically, if you have a problem you need to solve, remind yourself to dream about it when you go to sleep. Would that work? Who knows.

Sometimes I dream about places I've never been to or seen on TV, and people I've never met or heard about. To explain it, I like to think that dreaming is a connection to an alternate reality via some kind of high tech quantum tunnelling nth dimension space kabrickabrack.

I keep having a dream about being in school or in another crowded place with no pants on.

Another one is having my mouth full of something, like gum or paste -- and I keep pulling it out but it never ends. I'm sure it means something.

I've had that dream multiple times.

Why do dreams have to "mean" anything at all? Dreams are always the same thing, part of dreams are your brain processing the events of the day and combined mostly random, unrelated nonsense to offset the lack of massive sensory input otherwise present while conscious.. No neuroscientist on the planet is going to tell you that dreams mean anything.

About dreams in general; these days those are considered to be more or less practice, kinda simulator. I do have war dreams, but it seems that I don't practice that much for world end. :)

There was just recently an article about how our simulations are partly kinda "obsolete"; for threats our ancestors had, but we don't that much, like being eaten by predator, falling from a cliff and stuff like that. Of course our Rambo Vendzilla is going to get wounded by wild hog and getting pushed over cliff at the process, but there are always exceptions.

this is weird because I just had one of these dreams last night. I don't remember the whole dream but I was with a group of people and we were planning for the end of the world!

I have 2 recurring dreams.

The first one is of a Space Shuttle launch that only gets about 30 feet off the ground, then slides sideways into oil refineries (I grew up next to them as a kid) for an incredible, loud, bright, hot explosion.

I also dream about an amusement park. It's always the same park, and I always take the same path through it.

Weird.
