The thing is though, I don't think it's inherent to sexuality. Why are Black women perceived as lower-value, less interesting or 'cheap'? And even when it was big...the biggest and smartest artists always started their own record companies and had one of the big boys distribute it. Led Zeppelin had "Swan Song" records. The Beatles had "Apple Records". The Rolling Stones created "Rolling Stones Records".

And today...a lot of artists aren't even bothering with "distribution" deals. They don't have to. They have ITunes to get to the people.

Now a record PRODUCER...that's an artist in his own right. And yeah, If you want JayZ to produce your album...he's gonna charge you a ton of money.

Then there are a bunch of Black guys that are on all rate levels down to $300 and less.


White guys: Same thing 4 guys charge 1K per scene. One guy gets paid $1200 per scene and one guy actually makes $1500 scene (Yes $1500 per scenes and he turns work away on the daily).


And there are a list of white guys that hit every pay rate down to working for free.


Supply and demand is the name of this game. There is nothing racist about it. I want Lex or Prince in any of my scenes, I'm going to pay their rate. It really is that simple. Offering them less than their rate is a joke and an insult to them and all male performers.
