Which DJI Drone is the best?
 

Any DJI Flyers here?

I've decided I want to get a DJI drone but I'd like to know from experienced users which one they think is best? Should I get one with a built-in camera? Or should I use a GoPro? Regardless, can I get real-time video from either on my iPhone or iPad? Can I fly from my iPad or do I need an RF controller? And isn't RF better anyway?

Pros & Cons, good and bad, and sample vids too if you have any. Thanks in advance!

There is no "best" per se. They all have different functions and pricing, so that there's something for everyone.

I have a Phantom 2 Vision and the Inspire 1.

I'm also going to order whatever 3D Robotics debuts this week.

DJI has shitty customer service. Like the shittiest.

you really dont want to fly from a phone or a tablet but if you insist then get a phantom 2 or later model.

I like using the hero 4 on my phantom1 along with a decent set of FPV Gear but remember if you fly with the goggles its takes 2 people because you ONLY see what the camera sees

phantom 2 battery lasts twice as long as a 1 but costs 4x as much (or more) I have 8 batteries and 4 balancing chargers so I can fly all day np

The phantom 3 will be out soon but not much has been released about it in terms of tech specs.

I have the original DJI drone, its awesome.

Mine f550 flow away and never came back a lot of money down the shitter DJI never responded to my email and the hobby shop i got it from stopped replying after first email. I had gps setup and it still flow away after the failsafe should have worked.

There are other company's out there that make awesome drones

Waiting on #d robotics, it is meant to be out tomorrow, so should be interesting.

I want one where I can set it off to say, the local lake - See if my favorite fishing spot is open and then for it to come home - All live on video from my sofa...

I don't need another hobby, it needs to do something.....

I don't think there are fish in the lakes where we are in Spain - Maybe the odd Flamingo:upsidedow.....

The top of the line DJI model is the S1000.

According to the DJI rep, home lock wasn't set properly and your drone is heading back to China since that is the default setting.
