Not "old" or "new", but different timeline.

CGI are bad.

It's not a rewrite or a reboot. It looks like they are doing a "Back to the Future Part 2" on it. I think they send Arnie back in time, twice, to the events of Terminator 1 and Terminator 2.

If so, I hope they do it right. I *LOVE* good time travel movies.

I also heard that this movie is the first of 3, and that by the time they are ready to shoot the 3rd movie, the rights to the Terminator franchise will be back in James Cameron's hands, which hopefully will mean that he will get to direct again.

Still partial whether to see it or not, was ducking T III for over 10 years until I was more or less forced to watch it and it was real weak, like some sort of a cheap TV spin off with bad cast.

Besides that no team of CGI animators in the world can ever challenge the original Stan Winston's school of special effects. Sick of CGI in general - that stuff belongs to cartoons not to real movies.
