Godaddy Asking For Documentation

We have received a message from Godaddy that one of our domain whois information is invalid 1st Notice. If we didn't respond in 15 days domain will be suspended for invalid whois. Whois information was correct but not matching the address listed on site so we have updated that.

Now they asking to verify the address they said,

-----------------------------

Thank you for contacting us. Although the address appears to have been updated, please provide documentation that matches the updated address listed. Examples of acceptable documentation may include but is not limited to: Utility bill, rental agreement, or a government-issued photo ID.

Once this is received we will inform you if the claim has been closed or if we need additional information.
-----------------------------

What the hell is that? Please advice..... We have send the document back to them showing the company name and address listed on it as a government issued company registration certificate....

Never has that before and I've had to "correct" whois info too. I'd give them a call. I have a feeling you might be able to persuade someone to tell you something off the record.

That's what happens when you do not have valid Whois info; they have to start confirming that you are not giving false info again.

Some of you I expect more from; others not so much. Please name one registrar that doesn't care if your Whois info is correct or not.

LOL, they want their privacy money.

Save yourself the bother and transfer it out to namesilo. Much cheaper then godaddy and comes with free privacy, so you don't have to worry about this sort of thing.

Free privacy does not mean you can give them false whois info. :2 cents:

If you are using privacy, why would you want to?
