I hate it when the navigation is at the bottom of them... no joke, I've seen it.

The problem with infinite scroll sites is the memory footprint and slowing down of broswers when people run flash ads or video ads in sidebars and between posts or worse.. if they use images in the infinite scroll at all.. Man, I dont know about you but after about 5 minutes of scrolling through, browser needs to be restarted and I dont bother looking through categories, tag pages etc to find more content.. fuckit... they lost me.

Try doing this on mobile, too... holy fuck its pointless.

A mix of both is the way to go. Let it infinite scroll for lets say instead of the typical 5 posts most blog do, lets say 25, then give a pagination for the next page of 25 more in infinite scroll format.

I can't remember what site it was, but the "contact us" link was at the bottom of something I was checking out. Every time I when to click on it, the shit disappeared because of the infinite scroll. Fucking assholes. :2 cents:

If I'm not mistaken, i never seen when nav in footer ONLY- It's often when both in header and footer, then it's okay

The most annoying thing, is when you scroll a couple pages of stuff then click a link.. If you don't open it in a new tab, then once you go back, you have to start over with the fucking scroll bullshit..

Pinterest is one of the most annoying, because you can't even use the scroll bar, it forces you to use the down arrow because everytime new content loads it shoots back to the top again if using the scroll bar.

Inifinite scroll with just footer links you want to reach is just so much bullshit.
