1.5 GPM shower heads are horrible

I have been looking for the perfect low flow shower head. I tried about a dozen of them. Anything below 1.75 GPM is just not right. Even then you need one that has decent jets etc. 2.0 GPM is not even noticeable if it is a decent shower head.

Just thought I would bring it up after our California water talks.

i guess , it has something to do with better experience., may be calculating how much to mix with hot water.... something like that.

People need to learn how to take sailboat showers.

Imagine you're on a boat for 2 weeks with 1 tank of water.

Turn the shower on get wet. Turn it off. Wash. Turn it back on and rinse.

If you are in a low water area there's no reason to leave the shower on unnecessarily.

I never shower or wash anyway... :2 cents:

I own rental property so I was looking for a decent one that would not cause complaints.

My dad does that at his house to my mom/brother/sister. They came to my place for vacation and I made it a point to say let the shit run. :1orglaugh

It was like this when I lived in Australia a while back. When you first experience misty showers it's a bit unusual, then you get used to it and realize how little water you need to actually be squeaky fucking clean.

I remmeber I was at my dad's house once, he had this shower head that was so powerful that it felt like I was getting pummeled by small pebbles...

The shower at my studio in San Diego is like that, full force and I don't pay for water there, it's included in the rent, unmetered & unlimited.

Juicy D. Links 04-21-2015 03:56 AM

u can take out the restrictors in amny shower heads

Juicy D. Links 04-21-2015 04:26 AM

if you dont want to take the restrictors off you can get "dual headed" showers...

I had to change my shower head and i took the restrictor off and the fucking thing was like a fire hose...

I guess we are all used to the low flow that the change was like "wtf"...

Bad aprt is that you gotta make sure the drain can handle the massive flow and can keep up or else you will have water up to your ankles.

You sound like one of my tenants hahaha

if you rent out i can imagine you'd look into that, but as a user the shower flow is something that cannot be hard enough. Showers need to be comfortable, i will never make mine low flow. Aside from that water is dirt cheap.

I would say flow can DEFINATELY be too hard - case in point my dad's house with the pebbles. It felt more like i was being sandblasted then showering.

VikingMan 04-21-2015 07:49 AM

That is why you should always take a bath and have a cooler of beer (in bottles) next to the tub. Showers are for suckers.

And people wonder why California has no water. ;-)

sounds nice :1orglaugh
