One of the guys at NASA apparently gave a speech this last week in which he said we will "OFFICIALLY" meet aliens within the next 25 years.

Kind of makes you wonder if they have already "un-officially" done so.

Did he say if they were friendly or ready to exterminate us? :winkwink:

He started talking about aliens 10 years ago, but this particular story is new.

First of all it is always an exciting time to be alive considering the alternative.

Second, why would it be interesting if governments that we already know lie and manipulate their citizens are waiting decades to release this information?

So they can censor it? Sanitize it? OR perhaps cut a deal for themselves where they are allowed to live and the rest of the population is sold as pets or food to an alien entity?

No they didn't.. They said we will probably discover alien life in the next 25 years. They most certainly did not say "meet".. You don't meet a microbe, you discover or find it.. It's because of finding water on Mars which makes it pretty damn certain there will be microscopic life there. Which has already long been assumed to be true..
