any back story on this, or just set up?

On being gay - I assume kids go to ballet since early non sexual age, so based on that majority should not be gay?

Not sexual age? I "knew" that I liked girls from the very start (like first grade). In other word, I liked girls as a more than friends, though in childish way at that time.

But I can't see any reason why gays would be so much attracted to balette. Or at least being male dancers.

I knew at that age that "gay" was calling in names, so yes. And maybe I even knew what it meant, at least in some level. At that point I thought that women will get pregnant by kissing, as that was the only male vs female action I had seen. So, it wasn't so exact stuff. Not to speak of some gay stuff.

I remember some guy called me gay when I was in elementary school. I said, "yea, so, I am". I had no idea what it meant.

I was just thinking about him - Evidently he was hung like a horse...

I don't remember when I realised what it was all about - My mum had loads of gay friends and I was probably fairly late to realise it is an issue at all...

You liked girls, but not in a sexual way. Most of the gays did realize that they like boys way later than being 6 years old, lol.
On top of that - puting kid into ballet is parents decision, not like - I am 6 years old and I like boys, mom, take me to ballet.

I was at a shakespeare performance when the male lead put his hands on the female lead's tits and got a stiffy. He was wearing tights, so, yeah. The theatre was filled with mid to late teens (it was a school excursion) rather than mature adults, so the whole place was in an uproar as he exited the stage, sideways to the audience...
