This is sad. I hope this guy can eventually find the help that he requires. I loved STP back in the early 90s. This sickens me. His dead stare. Creeps me out, like he is doing the death walk.

you don't think he did about as much as his talent allowed? i'm not disagreeing, but it seems he achieved quite a bit of success and his dope fiending, while embarrasing and causing delays on things, didn't seem to hamper his musical success. at least from what i know.

I would imagine there's quite a bit of considering his not accomplishing conquering his addiction that plays into it. ginger baker, arguably the most significant rock drummer of all time was and still is a junkie, from day 1, before Cream even, back with manford mann. he's another one who couldn't, or didn't want to, kick the habit.

success isn't his problem. he has been at the top of that game for over 20 years despite his drug use. despite his stumbles he is still at the top.

the thing to consider that despite all the money and fame and drugs in the world it can't drown out that hurt and suffering which he is unable to or doesn't know how to face.

I'm reading Duff McKagen's autobiography right now. It amazes me how much booze and drugs those guys did and were still able to go on stage and put on a good show.

The thing about that video is he sounds like he isn't even trying to actually SING. It's almost like he was making fun of himself trying to "sing". Very weird, because even drunk or stoned you would think his voice would still sound like Scott Weiland.

I think the only times I would heavily nod out is way back when I was working 2 jobs and near the end of the day the combination of lack of sleep/work and heroin would have me falling asleep otherwise heroin would have me bouncing off the walls ready to go out and do shit.

I don't remember if it was in Duff's or Slash's book but it tells about velvet revolver/Scott Weiland time. They had enough with his addiction and getting late on stage like Axl Rose so they kicked him out. the guy wastes his life.

by the way i didnt get if he was high on that video or that was his state of mind after drug rehab.
