PAXUM card expires and no new card arrived

How many people have experienced this?

This is absolutely disgraceful IMO, how does it take 6 weeks to send a letter to anywhere?

k0nr4d 05-04-2015 11:57 PM

They send it by regular post, not by courier. They come from belize so it takes a while.

Still, 6 weeks, it isn't like it is walked across a desert by a camel then given to a guy on a kayak to paddle across the seas.

It might lay at the post office for a while before even being sent out. I had a letter sent from Warsaw to my house - like 450km by road, and it took 3 weeks to get here. The postman could have carried it by foot in that time too - and this is in a developed EU country. Belize I can't imagine will function better.

I closed my account once the card expired. The indian service that takes care of the renewal wanted digital scans of all sorts of documents and like 4 times they replied saying that they weren't good enough and wanted more and better quality stills, and when they requested a photo of me holding my passport in front of my house. I gave up.

Paxum is a good service and Ruth is always on top of things, but until they keep that pathetic and slow service in india, I wont be using them.

Always ask for expedited shipping w/ a tracking no.

I never really have had any problems aside from this so cannot comment on that personally. I normally get paid and withdraw, no problems.

Yes if there ever is a enxt time, that is exactly what will happen, I am astounded at how badly this is handled.

Make sure you transfer money from the old card back to your checking-account before it expires.

Alright. You will get the money back but it will take a couple of days.

Yeah, the ID thing is a bit nuts... every time I do it it takes several times and it takes weeks...

I am waiting for them to ask for a blood sample next time..

Do you have any idea how difficult it is for horses to swim those distances?

It is amazing what someone could do with all of the documentation you're required to send to Paxum.

Opening merchant accounts is always the first thing I think of.

I love how just about every US bank lets you open an account online, while sending them very basic information and scans... meanwhile, Paxum, which is certainly not a bank, or anything remotely close to one, wants poop samples.
