So, will they just make it ''lawful'' somehow?
Then, renew the objectionable act with mickey-moused legislative impunity. If they could devise an autonomous structure for the extraction of actual communication that is terrorism (only) related, and do it with public transparency -- it might fly... Unfortunately, with the whole process cloaked by the US PATRIOT Act's constitutionally questionable impunity I cannot see them ever agreeing to this. There is some suspicion, possibly reason, to believe that the data gleaned is sanitized and used in pursuing security and police investigation of non-terrorist "criminal" activities. |
who cares. NSA has same mentality as web pirates. fuck the law.
:2 cents: |
They;re just telling people what they want to hear. Like they'll stop big brothering us... ya right.

As usual too little too late. The damage is already done...

So far anytime the law has gotten in their way, they've used the "secret court" to change the law for them.. |
I actually just saw a bit more on this. They didn't rule it unconstitutional, but rather ruled that "Congress" never approved the extent of the spying on American citizens that has been going on.
What this means is the ball has now been tossed into Congress's court, meaning they have to vote if the continued spying is "ok". What this means is our FREEDOM loving Congress has to make the decision if it stays or goes or gets modified. So here is your chance to show us you love us Republican controlled Senate & Congress... |
