Linkbucks scam / rip off

I was trying linkbucks.com on some of my blogs to see if i can earn more money from them.

I made a bunch of galleries, then used the linkbucks urls on them.

I put them up on a couple of blogs.

Within 24 hours my account was banned.

I had sent like 100 hits over a couple of days. Test traffic, nothing at all.

I email them to ask why my account is banned.. this is the reply:

__________________________________________________ _________________
High amount of requests from proxy. Per 100 attemtps there are 76 from proxy.

Skip click rate is 0.3%, mouse move rate is 1.9%

In any case, we cannot allow you to publish any longer, under any circumstance, regardless of excuses. Sorry.

Fair enough if my traffic was really crap. But i just setup a test account and posted on a couple of blogs. And i know my traffic is HQ.

Seems lousy to me.

NoWhErE 05-11-2015 04:31 PM

If they didnt steal money from you and you admitted to only testing them, why call them a scam or ripoff? Nothing was lost.

They simply don't want your business. No harm, no foul.

TeenCat 05-11-2015 04:40 PM

oh fuck really those spammers? fucking wow

Bladewire 05-11-2015 04:46 PM

Wow they were really nice in their response, and detailed. They also did good business in responding promptly to your inquiry. I've never worked with them but this is good service in the adult business.

You sent them proxy traffic. They decide they don't want to work with you and they nicely stated so. And you post on a board that they are a scam / ripoff.

You are incorrect. You weren't scammed. You weren't ripped off.

CPA-Rush 05-11-2015 04:50 PM

bad attitude, but think about what the other guy have said ... its just 100 clicks no harm...

kazbalah 05-11-2015 05:05 PM

Its not about the clicks.

Think about this...

You start to promote an affiliate program. You put up a couple of links.

BAM you banned. Within 24 hours, and a response like that..

I dont care about the money im just surprised i got a response like that. I didnt even get a chance to send in proper hits.

Bladewire 05-11-2015 05:06 PM

You started off with proxy hits, that's like starting a relationship with lies.

As i said before i did not send them proxy hits on purpose. All i did was post a couple of galleries on a couple of forums and blogs. My blogs have 70% US traffic mostly from google, i don't know about the forums.

The point is, it seems a bit abrupt to see a couple of hits and ban you right away.

But at least i did not put up links on all my blogs i would have lost alot of time.

I just wanted to tell people so no one bothers to sign up, they will just do the same thing or even worse wait until you have spent days putting up links and then ban you.

In 10 years of affiliate marketing i have never had something like this happen before, so i thought i should post up my experience here so other webmasters do not waste their time, as we all should do this to help stop scammers and rip off artists operate.

webstream 05-11-2015 11:05 PM

It seems scammers are popping up everywhere! Saw major threads on another board about another guy ripping people off. Sigh

zerovic 05-12-2015 02:27 AM

sorry to say, but they were absolutely right.. and you had the chance to send em proper clicks from the time you signed up...

Adraco 05-12-2015 05:27 AM

Let's see here
They let you make an account
You start out, you slam up their link on "a couple of blogs"
Send traffic, you say 70% US, that is unusually high to start with but you say nothing of how many US proxies that is. Maybe that's why you have 70%, because of US proxies?

The can't sell/earn from your traffic and decide to close thank you for your attempt at doing business but they are not interested. No problem there!

A business will choose it's customers, by having a certain price point, geographic position of their store and so on. Online businesses will choose it's customers and clients by evaluating you.

You think Snickers would still be sold in Walmart if 76 out of 100 bars were bad? And if only 1.9% were eadilbe at all?
No, it would be thrown out quick, no matter what excuse candy company Mars would come up with.

I see everyones point.. totally. They run a program and need to be profitable, someone signs up and sends them rubbish traffic so they should be able to remove them.

Of course they should not pay for unprofitable traffic.

But can no one see my point? I signed up and put them up on a couple of blogs, and got banned in 24 hours. Not just banned but i was told this in a very rude and arrogant way.

That's ridiculous. Never happened before in 10+ years.

To be honest i highly doubt i sent that much proxy traffic, that was what i was told. I know my blogs are 70% US and good countries, its all blog and search engine traffic. I know this for a fact. But i wasn't tracking it so i can't dispute this.

And i simply came here to tell everyone to not waste their time with this program, that's ridiculous.

kazbalah 05-12-2015 07:00 PM

If another person tells me i should not have sent proxy hits im going to slap the bitch out of you..

I put them on a few blogs, like any normal webmaster would do. I did not setup to send them proxies or cheat them in any way. I have never tried to cheat a program, why would i when i can send real hits.

And to be honest i highly doubt i actually did send them proxies. I know my blogs have good traffic.

JJ Gold 05-12-2015 07:08 PM

You probably should have avoided sending them proxy traffic.

Some competitors could have sent proxy traffic to your links.

I guess they were more worried about their bounce rate. Idk. I'm still new to this whole thing myself.

I think their response was spot on. How exactly were they "rude" or "arrogant"?

What kind of response would have made you happy?

The Porn Nerd 05-14-2015 01:00 PM

I'm surprised they monitored their traffic so closely to notice 100 hits in a day. LOL Maybe they get so little 100 hits is a lot to them.

If a bot caught something and alerted them then maybe something is up with your traffic you do not know about somehow.

Look at it this way: NEXT.

Adraco 05-14-2015 01:46 PM

Maybe you should try to avoid sending out a high amount of proxy traffic?

:error fyi Linkbucks handle huge volumes.

Adzvertise 05-14-2015 05:02 PM

kazbalah, they certainly shouldn`t be quoted as a scam or rip-off. You sent them 100 clicks, regardless of whether it was junk or real traffic, they closed your account before any money was generated and had the professional courtesy to tell you what was wrong.

Some companies would take your traffic for days/weeks and when a payment is requested, at that point would they take a decent look at the traffic characteristics to determine if it was real or not.

DonJon69 05-14-2015 10:01 PM

What's linkbucks????

I went there and it says join , make money...
Yeah, so, what do you have to do? Put ads up or something?
Make money from people leaving site? HOW?
Give me example before sign up...
What is it!?

I think it is like a link shortening tool. You put your link in and they shorten it. They show you like a five second ad for something before the surfer gets redirected to the content.

Pays very little. I tried ad fly once. Usually the ad is for some software they want you to download. I can't find any links online.

The ads are kind of annoying. I don't know if they hurt your SEO or not, but it is something to look into before you add them to your site.

You are a fucking retard and / or impotent or both.
FUCK. There are some illogical tools in this game.

Do you not - for one fucking second - realise how stupid you sound !

I hope this doesn't offend you - I am a pacifist not a fighter.
It takes a full blown retard to tick me off and realise how stupid some people can be.

I think i might be in the twilight zone. You know when the whole world is crazy except for you..

Again just for the retards who did not hear me say this, i did not send proxies on purpose. But lets look at all the major traffic brokers shall we:

trafficholder.com - Pays less for proxies
fpctraffic.com - Pays less for proxies
plugrush.com - Pays less for proxies
adengage.com - Pays less for proxies
juicyads.com - Pays less for proxies
linkbucks.com - Bans you within 24 hours if you send proxies.

Smart.

Ohhh, now I see the light!
You have sent the same proxy traffic to all of them to compare, nice.
Thanks for sharing!

Sorry are you slow or something?

For the simple minded.. my point was this:

ALL traffic brokers take into account proxy traffic, no reffeerr traffic etc. They pay less. They don't ban you 24 hours after you send 100 lousy hits.

Well i must say Ravo, i indeed had a similar problem with you and fpctraffic.com at one stage, many years ago.

You handled it very well and politely, simply put you were fair about the situation.

That's all i wanted ;)

I think their system is not coded to filter traffic, like EVERY other program is. They could simply pay less for proxy hits.
