NOVA - Lethal Seas (my take on it)

NOVA - Lethal Seas

I've seen the other thread about it and how so many people seem so concerned about it. Yes it's a fact we are killing our oceans and our wildlife with our toxic byproducts. The fact of the matter is there are just too many people in the world and too much pollution. What can we really do about it? Not much. Even if 100 million people stop driving their cars to work and ride a bike, will it save the world? No it won't. We are a snowball rolling down a big snowy hill. Will the world survive the cancer we have given to it? Yes. Here is why.

Long before we kill the oceans and the planet with our greenhouse gasses some type of epidemic or plague will come along and eliminate a good percentage of the world's population. It may be a one of the next mutated flus, an airborne version of rabies or something else. It's bound to happen sooner or later and when it does the whole over population thing will be handled. It's happened before and currently with all of our medical advancements, we still cannot cure the common cold.

The world will live on. Feel better now? Your welcome! :thumbsup

I think your take on it is a sensible one.

And you're right. If ALL citizens stopped using fossil fuels tomorrow it wouldn't matter.
The U.S. Govt. puts out more "carbon footprint" (which they know is NOT really dangerous) in a couple of aircraft carriers than every car in the U.S.

With our giant military all over the world burning more fossil fuels than several countries COMBINED...none of it would help.

That's how you KNOW the "problem" isn't real. If it were...then that would change instantly.

Now real pollution? And toxic waste? That is VERY real and we should be addressing that. But apparently the new mantra of the extreme left is CO2 and "man made" climate change. Totally ignoring the history of the planet. :)

Actually one of the latest VICE episodes was about superbugs and how antibiotics are more and more useless.. so in the long run we are pretty much fucked :D

Indeed...I have been singing the praises of a global pandemic for years! :thumbsup

It can't happen too soon as far as I am concerned.

I think a good number to hope for is around 3.5 billion - Gone :thumbsup

If only that asshole Jesus actually would come back and get rid of all these annoying christians with that whole rapture thing they are always hoping to be a part of...I say if they want to get to heaven so badly that we speed up the process and fast track them there directly!
