I am thinking of building a site such as clips4sale since it can make a lot of money. Obviously the hardest part would be the get enough paying customers that studios would want to make sales through my site instead of clips4sale. So, can i assume the only way to do this in say 1-2 years is to use media buying? what kind of budget would i need for advertising?
Also, does anyone know how much profit clips4sale makes per year?

Forget the haters here. You can do this! Focus all of your energy on this like a laser. Buy a clipsforsale clone, there are many under $30, one has a 30 free trial money back gurantee if I remember. Put it on some $25 a month shared hosting , you can get a designer to customize it for under $100. use the rest on ad space and over time and with a little experimenting you will have a new improved clips4sale platform. just keep your focus and don't be deterred. One by one they will come to sell on your new space. :thumbsup

Clips4sale is like a dinosaur, they live in the past, and only the most deviated people buy clips there, which are extremely overpriced.

You could be more successful, you only have to be better than them. The first thing to do would be to have the clips cheaper and in better quality, displayed in a more modern and viewable catalogue.

But, I would like you to don't actually do it, it is, honestly, too difficult.

ANYTHING is possible with a big enough budget, enough time and focus, and energy. But taking that journey is EXTREME to say the least.

Could you start a new Twitter or a better Facebook today? Absolutely! Got millions to do so? A team of hundreds?

ONE person can get going but there will be a point where you hit such a massive wall that either you need the above (millions and a team) or you just stop and settle for whatever level you have reached.

But knowing this in advance helps make the decision easier. It all comes down to what you are willing to do (and not do).

why not start a cam site? you have many scripts to choose from and all you would need is some magic traffic powder just like for your clips4sale project?

I've been considering making a search engine site like Google since it can make a lot of money. Obviously the hardest part would be getting enough people to search my engine that advertisers would pay to be listed on it instead of Google. I already know how much Google profits per year so this is why I want to make a site like that.

Hey guys... As se may have read I am starting a site pretty soon. It will take a lot of effort to make it work, but some good names have been interested by the site and concept. Still the big wall will be traffic, but I am thinking in a strategy that would help. I have made some thousands of dollars with an accumulated 500 bucks investment with my blog; however, it is not yet a well positioned site, but i am in my way to get it better. Still traffic is the issue. I do not expect to replicate that with the paysite as a site iike that requires more effort and investment in a shorter period of time.
In summary, you can have the script and the site, but you have to figure out how to drive traffic that converts. Good luck with your idea. Always have a plan. Never start a site for the sake if starting it.

Your big wall is not traffic, it's technology.

To make a search engine now is not the same as to make it in 1995, the internet is bigger now, and you would need a lot of computing power.

Not many sponsors, in porn, will pay to be in your search engine, unless it were something as popular as google. Also, people know the free porn sites, and usually search for them on the search engines; they will not use your search engine if all they can get is "pay sites" and nothing free, which is what they are looking for.

The search engine thing is not an innovative idea, it is as old as the internet. Neither it is the clips4sale clone idea, which is very old too, and soon obsolete.

You need new original ideas, your site should be something that every other site is not, either it is a great service that surpass every other option, or it is a cheaper service than the others, and most are free now...
