Let's brainstorm. Well at least help me brainstorm. Cause sometimes it's fun!

I hire some writers here and there, but wanted to save some money and still get great writing.

How can I pull guys who read my blog in to be writers themselves? Then I'm getting the writing for little to no money, and it will be original good content from people who aren't burned out writing. Sounds like a good idea right?

I'm not sure. I could offer discounted phone sex in lieu of great stories, testimonials etc, but I am also sure there's a group of readers/writers out there who would want to do it just so their stuff is seen? For free. Reddit is proof.

How would you entice these people to write stories? And how would you make sure they don't post the same story to other websites? Or steal stories from other websites? Copyscape I am sure could help.

Give me your best idea on how you would get your readers to become the writers.

it's never not fun to brainstorm!

MiamiBoyz 05-19-2015 12:51 PM

Offer them money...seems to motivate people to do all sort of unpleasant things they would not normally do.

loreen 05-19-2015 12:53 PM

Maybe a contest with a prize.
But not sure that would work if you don't have a popular community :)

Do forum, instead of a blog, and you will have people writing. vBulletin is not just forum program, but you can also have groups, user blogs, and other things.

Most men would go lengths for just a blowjob ...

Wanna do it? Here are some things I thought of. A lot of things I thought of will cost a little bit of money.

Story contests (best story gets a free phone sex call) This costs me about $10.00 BUT I'd be getting several stories I would hope? So that one $10.00 for let's hope 10 stories - a dollar a story? Heck yes I can live with that.

Featured post for a day and link to their blog if they have one if their story gets chosen. I would hope that more than 1 would get submitted.

Audio version of their story in some sort of format.

Why would writing an erotic story be unpleasant?

That takes up too much interaction with them. I just want them to submit stories that I can post on my blog. =)

Yessss. I have to figure out a few prizes that cost little to give.

If I get 15 stories for one contest then I'm doing okay!

I don't know how popular my community is, I get 40k visitors on my blog site each month and about the same on my main website.

On my phone sex site, most is all paid traffic that does extremely well and on my blog it's all organic and keywords etc. I don't know what the men who read that blog are like. I am sure a lot of them are not customers, and those are the guys I'm really trying to pull in.

Maybe you just have to be gay to get the joke.

I see you got it. :upsidedow

i was being a jackass, but also it seems to me that's not the best direction to take it, if it works, you'll just turn your blog into a contest blog. but also, i dont' think internet blog content writers you want would respond to a contest anyway.

What it seems to me like you want to accomplish is real context on your blog. so real articles. not articles just to win a prize. and loquacious internet writers soak up being recognized for the content. from what i've seen, that recognition is dialogue re: the subject matter of the blog entry. comments and discussions that unfurl down the page is what turns a writer on. knowing people are reading their words and reacting/responding to them. Consequently, they will write more and others will also contribute to get some of that recognition. bump those to the top.

i would think hiring some writers to create dialogue around blog entries you have from your readers you want to write for you has the potential to get those to contribute more. then fuel those contributions with comments/discussion/dialogue/debate/arguing/drama/facts/fun/etc to inspire more contributions.

scripted reality.

Smart. Ass.

I like your reply though. Instead of hiring outside writers though now I am just keeping it in house and paying the girls that already work for me to write great content. Which is cool, and it gives them extra money, helps me out etc. That's what I'm using to get my new blog started which is more geared toward being a regular sex blog, how to guide, sex stories etc. So I'll be able to market it different than my "phone sex" blog and I feel like this may reach a broader audience.

I'm really trying to find the "reader/writer" customers because they are the lengthy callers.

I'm thinking I just need to cast my line and put a sticky post up on my blog and see who bites.

I could easily get all my girls to write comments on the posts. So the activity part is easy.

ps. You really had me scratching my head at your posts.

the primary thing i would not lose site of is you want to keep your readers as customers/surfers/interacters/BUYERS. contests fundamentally change that relationship, which is why i avoid them when generating true organic traffic that has the potential to spend money, not take money.

I agree, I do want to keep my customers as customers but also want my readers to be part of the equation to keep the customers cummmmming? And even help find new customers by submitting quality filth.

But why wouldn't it generate true organic traffic? Help me understand better.

I like your niche. Reddit and Literotica should be fertile ground for finding writers for your contest.

imo it wouldn't. organic means to me active particpation based on wanting to be a contributing part of the community. contest create more of a i'm just here to win the contest.

why not explore both? you could prolly even do both at the same time. but i really think i would be careful not to change the intent of the site.

No contest needed I don't think! I've already had 4 guys email me from my sticky post to write a story.

OH SNAP! Let the free content flow!

My brain is having a ''rain day" :P

reddit is a bad example -- reddit has ''awesome traffic'' what you say will be seen ;)

A contest using social media to get the talent and audience views to your website.
