Naw, not according to the London Metro PD. 1660 pedophiles and counting? Christians just cornered the market on slavery. Ask the Pope. :winkwink:

you can't tell the difference from national institutionalized slavery and pedophilia? when you can understand the difference between these numbers below and 1660 LMK :2 cents:

There were an estimated 8 million or 9 million slaves in India in 1841. In Malabar, about 15% of the population were slaves. (so you can infer that it existed before this time as well at staggering rates)

The population of the Kanem (1600?1800) was about a third-slave. It was perhaps 40% in Bornu (1580?1890).

Between 1750 and 1900 from one- to two-thirds of the entire population of the Fulani jihad states consisted of slaves.
A slave market for captured Russian and Persian slaves was centred in the Central Asian khanate of Khiva. According to Sir Henry Bartle Frere (who sat on the Viceroy's Council), there were an estimated 8 million or 9 million slaves in India in 1841. (once again inferring that it was huge in the 18th century as well from these numbers)

In the 18th and 19th century In Southeast Asia, a quarter to a third of the population of some areas of Thailand and Burma were slaves.

An estimated 12 million Africans were shipped to the Americas from the 16th to the 19th centuries. Of these, an estimated 645,000 were brought to what is now the United States.

According to the 1860 U.S. census, 393,975 individuals owned 3,950,528 slaves

The largest number of slaves were shipped to Brazil and it was the last of the Americas to abolish slavery.

You will have to do more research to figure this out. I don't think you will be able to get an accurate count. There were just too many and I don't think that there was a really hard number kept.

Here is an excellent site with tons of info if you want to wade through from multiple sources just keep going down and down and down:)

Hundreds of millions more than likely is the sad but true reality. Every race and ethnicity in just about every country/region of the world. :(

Grape, my brother, Christians came to power with Constantine in the early 4th century and formal legal slavery went away in the early 1900s. That would be 1500 years of "I'll get around to it". Constantine owned slaves, and serfs actually had it worse than slaves in many ways. A bonded peasant in the 900s lived a far worse life than a Roman slave. Both could be bought and sold, but slaves were manumitted routinely and could even save up and buy their own freedom, while serfs could not be freed. Both could be hungry, but serfs frequently starved. serfs couldn't leave the land they worked, and their lifespan was lower than roman slaves.

Calling something a different name doesn't mean you've done anything.

Inequality under Christianity grew to the the greatest extent it ever has in HUMAN HISTORY going back 200,000 years. Around the time of John of Gaunt, you had a few dozen people making the equivalent of a billion dollars a year, 1 in 100 were priests, and everyone else near starvation.

If you're saying recent Christians ended slavery, like in the last 150 years, some did, some didn't. Industrialization and electricity mean slaves and serfs weren't needed, which is the only reason you and I are able to write this crap, and we aren't out hoeing cucumbers.

I don't know I'd say the 300,000 union soldiers who were killed had some small part in it.

I do believe you share the same level of cognizance as the boyfriend... but really reminds me of you was BF's reaction... the hapless fellow put his head down and started swinging... and I thought this is how the guy deals with every issue in his life... this is how I perceive you... anything you don't comprehend or disagree with you, you put your head down and start swinging... :2 cents:

Well stupid statements just flow out of you like shit thru a goose...

Christianity is the cause for MANY MANY woes that have NOTHING to do with Government but EVERYTHING to do with dumb ass peoples interpretation of a VERY confusing Book written by a bunch of folks who thought the world was flat yet they knew "everything".

There are years and years of countless crimes under "Christian" beliefs... just the number of abortions alone would probably throw up some pretty staggering numbers.

I have seen countless times in my life where an unwed or teen mother are shamed by "Christians" wanting them to have abortions to avoid embarrassment to the church or cast out of the church and in some cases their family because of it.

Women for DECADE after DECADE have been giving up kids to adoption when abortion was no longer on the table because of the "Church".

the KKK was not a government organization but it was a "Christian" one.

YOU and idiots like YOU are what the fuck is wrong with this Country... You listen to the bullshit your fucking leaders spread thru approved sources like fox news and Limbaugh and Beck... ... they throw a couple of links up and you automatically think... "well there is the proof". and then copy and paste the portions of stories that coincide with your view...

You try to play the "Victim" card when anyone calls you on your racist slanted rants... You are pathetic and all the fucking morons LIKE you are as well...

ALL PEOPLE have value... ALL COLORS are welcome in America... We are NOT a "Christian" Nation... We ARE a FREE nation in SPITE of archaic thinking bottom feeders like YOU.

Exactly. Modern men and women believing in fairy tales and superstitions is ridiculous.

lezinterracial 05-25-2015 12:46 AM

It was a cool circle for porn and religion back in the 80s though. People bought movies and magazines that were over priced. They would jack off and feel guilty and throw it away and make a donation to the church. Then they would get horny again and buy that same stuff again.

Porn was taboo, And special. Now days, Most people don't even buy porn in the first place. So much porn out there people have to watch Brazilian Fart Porn to get off.

Christianity being used by a political system that subvert Christianity for personal gain... is not the same as Christianity endorsing a Christian principle and creating a movement, the abolitionist movement, based on a Christian principle made into a political movement

nice try though.... BTW you're be very busy if you intended to list all the evil perpetrated by governments 'in the name of Christianity'

are you able to comprehend this?

The funny thing is...that came much later in our country's history.
The founding fathers envisioned this nation as a progressive thinking place. They were men of science and believed in individual freedom.

The ORIGINAL motto on the first coins ever minted in the U.S. had the motto: "Mind Your Business" on them instead. Designed by Benjamin Franklin himself.
Look it up on Google.

It's amazing how far we've come from that with the govt. these days involved in EVERY aspect of our lives and spying on us.

nonsense - it's the catholic church that sends nuns and priests to Africa to tell people they cannot use condoms so that on one hand they have 15 children they cannot feed and on the other hand half of them die of AIDS

Humans are more or less religious by nature. If they don't believe in god, in some shit anyways. That is the way it is. I guess it has been good in terms of evolution. Even now Muslims out breed every other religion, and it is not even what I meant, as I meant more subtle things.
