Some things just shouldn't be fucked with. Especially just about everything carpenter has done. Look at how worthless their prequel of the thing was with so much awful cgi.

Everything is being rebooted or "re imagined" these days. Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek, Friday the 13th, Evil Dead, Poltergeist, Spiderman (within 5 years or something), Fantastic Four, Robocop, etc....

So far the best boots have been ST and BSG. Not sure about the rest tho..

neither the prequel nor the remake will ever 'fuck with' the original. it's just not possible. :2 cents:

I've never seen this movie so I could care less.

I like some of the "re imagined" stuff. I loved the original Battlestar Galatica, and loved the new version. Same with Star Trek. Loving the new James Bond too.

I love the classics, don't get me wrong.... But the new stuff is good too.

I love to see the redo Miami Vice. I loved the original, loved the movie too, but love to see them do a re imagined TV series from the 1980s.
