My family history is rather odd. In short, in the 1960s my daddy had three kids with three different mothers, then died when I was a nine months old. No one told me about this until I was twenty-five or so. My older sister contacted me through family, but we had to search for the brother was which was difficult before the Internet.
I researched how to find people, which eventually brought me to a company in Florida. You give them a name and DOB and $95, and they give everything you ever wanted to know about this person. They sent me a box of information, copies of the deed to his house, bank account records, his driving history; The only thing they couldn't give me was his unlisted phone number.
Yet here we are all concerned that our government knows what cell tower our phones ping, or if we've ever talked to a terrorist.
Zero fucking concern about what information Google has.....
