The host of a Texas pool party that led to the suspension of a police officer says things took a turn for the violent when a neighbor began hurling racial slurs and insults at party-goers.

A woman identified as Tatiana Rhodes, 19, said that she and some friends had organized and were enjoying the party at the Craig Ranch North Community Pool on June 5 when the conflict with a white neighbor broke out.

?This lady was saying racial slurs to some friends that came to the cookout. She was saying such things as ?black effer? and ?that?s why you live in Section 8 homes,? ? Rhodes told E. Johnson IV, a photographer who recorded the conversation and uploaded it online.

More insults were traded. One neighbor said ?go back to your Section 8 home,? Rhodes said, referring to a form of federal housing assistance for low-income people.

Then, according to Rhodes, who is black, a white neighbor ?came up to me and smacked me in my face.?

?That?s when both of the women attacked me,? the teen said.

If you read the part of the story that was NOT quoted by BM, you'll see the kids were trespassing on private property.

This was not their pool, or even a public pool, but a pool at a private community where those teens did not belong.

The McKinney Police Department said in a statement that officers were called to the neighborhood, responding to reports of a “disturbance” involving multiple juveniles who “do not live in the area or have permission to be there, refusing to leave.”

I wonder how many GFY'ers with their own swimming pool would want a bunch of rowdy teens from another neighborhood holding a party there without permission...

From what I've heard, a black female who lived there had a party and invited guest.
Some of her black guest were told to leave and go back to "the projects".

Invited guest are not trespassing by any stretch of the law.

I actually read the story at the link that Brass Monkey posted above.

He just didn't quote the truthful parts that were "inconvenient" to what folks were "hearing"

There is nothing in the official report about any authorized resident having a party.

Those kids were not "invited" there by anyone but themselves.

That's not what it was at all.. one of them lived there and had a party an invited her/his friends. They had a cook out at their community pool the others were guests.

Black neighborhood resident said this has nothing to do with race. The kids were going wild and that's what the real problem is / was.

They were trespassing. They weren't invited. An invitation went viral and people who weren't invited showed up, climbed fences and started wilding out. The HOA allows for 2 guests per house at any time.

They said this in reference to the girl whom was hosting the party several times that "her neighbor" was throwing racial insults at her. Obviously if she lived there she has a right to invite her friends or family over just like anyone else does.

No she doesn't. As per a black man who also lives in that neighborhood, they are allowed 2 guests at the pool per household. This is what their HOA allows.

I'd be surprised if there wasn't a limit to the amount of guests one could invite to the pool.

The site might be bull shit but almost any "community" with a resident pool does have rules like that. I've gotten three emails from my complex in the last two weeks because people have been abusing pool rules by throwing parties and inviting more than two guests.

There probably was, but that's for the HOA to sort out with the person having the party. The guests were invited so far as they know they have a right to be there as they were invited.

Do you not question where is the evidence of this or do you just go along with it because it fits your preconceived views? Surely with everyone and their 10 year old kid now having cell phones with video and picture capability there should be evidence of all these claims..

When I watch the videos I see a handful of kids not hundreds. I don't see broken glass on the streets or wrecked cars or even trash.. Surely 100s of kids would of left some trash scattered around wouldn't they?
