L8 is the correct answer....

scarlettcontent 06-10-2015 05:10 AM

its impossible to know unless you move the car to see what number (if any) is under the car. it could be 87 if you turn upside down.

Scott McD 06-10-2015 05:51 AM

It's a test for first graders in Korea or Japan.

Around 80% of the kids solve it within 2 or 3 minutes. :thumbsup

ask mr google!!!!

The numbers of the parking spots must be viewed from the outside in, as a driver would see them, which is upside-down from the current view. The shown numbers are: 86, ??, 88, 89, 90, 91. Therefore the answer is 87. The Number is 87.

then I'm dumber than 80% of Asian 6 year olds which isn't that surprising I guess :helpme

i never thought to look at the numbers upside down, i wonder if I sat here staring at it for hours/days how long it would take - possibly never.

A good for puzzle for a 7 year old kid.

2MuchMark 06-10-2015 12:00 PM

Easy : 87.

If you don't understand why, try looking at it upside down. Why? Because this is the angle that the driver would see it from.

Phhh, when I was a kid, we had a shitload of similar puzzles. For example in which direction this bus does move:

http://www.ljplus.ru/img/elentir/avtobus.JPG

P.S. Try to think like a kid and you'll get the answer just immediately.

SilentKnight 06-10-2015 12:11 PM

It's handicap parking - no number. Sign is on the ground under the car.

A couple of childish puzzles from Soviet times:

http://img0.liveinternet.ru/images/a...8_LBQ9Y8pj.jpg

Questions:

1. How many tourists live in this camp?
2. When they come here - today or a few days ago?
3. What transport they use?
4. How far from is the nearest village?
5. Which side the wind blows from - north or south?
6. What is the current time of day?
7. Where did Shura (the name started with Russian "Ш") has gone?
8. Who was on duty last night? (Call by name.)
9. What is the season shown by the artist?

http://pics.livejournal.com/tragemata/pic/002b8kb9

Questions:

1. Where the boat is moving - upstream or downstream?
2. What time of year is shown on the picture?
3. How deep the river in this place?
4. How far the nearest pier is?
5. On which bank of river the pier is - left or right?
6. What time of the day is shown there?

Those are puzzles our kids are used to solve :)

Wrong :) If you were a Russian, French or the US kid, you would say it moves to the left because you can't see passenger doors. In the UK or Japan the correct answer would be "to the right". That's a real easy one. Try to solve the ones from my post above :winkwink:

1. 4
2. spider on the tent
3. kayak
4. probably not so far since they have a watermelon
5. south (sun + fire)
6. noon (shadow of the fire + meal)
7. hunting butterfly
8. петя, since right now it's вася (bag, he is next to the fire, his bag is open)
9. spring (flowers, but it's pretty cold)

1-3: Correct.
4. Because there is a chicken in their camp. A watermelon could be delivered from anywhere :)
5. Correct (a waving flag and branches of fir trees - long on north and short on south).
6. Morning. Look at the shadow and note point #5.
7. Correct.
8. Николай. Петя is on duty today, according to the schedule :)
9. Nope, but this is the easiest one. We can see the duty schedule. 8th is today. Also we can see an watermelon (there are no spring growing on spring), so it's definitely 8th of August or September.

So these are our kiddy puzzles :)

yes but the sun seems already pretty high. (look at the shadow of the guy, the sun is already high in the sky imo).
Also this shadow seems to be in the direction of the south-->north, it's another hint that it's not far from noon for me.

DVTimes 06-10-2015 03:31 PM

i would say 89

What are the answers to this one? None of these have obvious answers except the river is shallow because there's a guy with a rod/pole in the water measuring, so must be quite shallow. There are birds flying - how could anybody know if they're flying north or south?

1. upstream (the slope of the river)
2. fall (birds in the sky)
3. not deep (he uses a stick to test the depth)
4. not far, cf question 5. (water wings ?)
5. Probably left (see the traveller inside the boat)
6. the sun seems pretty high in the sky (shadows of the trees)

Lol I always think like a kid. There's no door on this side, so the door is on the other. Depending on the country, the bus could move either way. In AMERICA, this bus moves to the left since we drive on the right side of the road.

In countries that drive on the left side, the bus would move right. :2 cents::2 cents:

pornmasta 06-10-2015 05:55 PM

or this drawing is just to childish to think like that.

4. It's near. There are houses on the back so the village is near and the зassengers with luggage getting ready to go to the pier on the left side. Everything else is correct.
