Do you have office or work at home....

So guys, do most of you work from home, or do you rather spend your days among people in office?

Matyko 06-16-2015 06:07 AM

In an office with good people [my colleagues] :pimp

bronco67 06-16-2015 06:25 AM

The social aspect of an office will kill productivity. Prefer to be alone in my cave.

pornguy 06-16-2015 06:45 AM

My wife is in the room but my other employees work from their homes.

candyflip 06-16-2015 06:50 AM

I have a studio / office. $150 a month for my own space seems like a small price to pay.

Most people are ok, but in every office situation there's always that one person...they make you think "if only that motherfucker wasn't here, this place would be great".

It's that one person I'm glad I don't have to deal with anymore. He's the same asshole with many faces.

yuu.design 06-16-2015 07:22 AM

I work from my office, but always bring some work to home too :) , so, 70% office 30% home

TrafficTraffickers 06-16-2015 08:08 AM

I am more productive at the office. But have no life. So I work from home as well

rayadp05 06-16-2015 08:22 AM

I've been shooting amateur models (full time job) for 12 years now. So yeah, I have an office at home and greatly enjoy the flexibility of being my own boss.

Rochard 06-16-2015 09:20 AM

I work from home and have a full office. I have HON office furniture including two desks and a matching credenzda, two full work stations. My main PC has three monitors, and my back up has two.

I've been working from home since 2008 or so. I work for Dating Factory, and it's kind of strange not seeing a co-worker for months at a time. Usually I fly to Europe for TES and see all of the affiliate manager staff at once (there are six of us), and last year I worked out of our UK office for a week which was neat.

I love working from home. There are zero distractions - no co-workers trying to distract me with their issues or office birthday parties - so it's a lot easier to get work done.

romeo22 06-16-2015 01:57 PM

Same hiere no office working at home but thats the way of the most ppl do

Matyko 06-16-2015 02:22 PM

Thinking about it, as a family man I had no options - and it did good to my life. It is healthy to have an office with skilled and good guys and good era. If you have No annoying member in your team than you can't even compare productivity for the two ways: almost everyday I learn something valuable from my colleagues and vice versa. I feel fine at home with my family, and feel fine when I arrive in the office as well.

Two years ago I planned and built my Home to have a separate place for the computers and the TV - thus to separate my work [and the TV from the kids :P] and it works very well. :pimp

Vendzilla 06-16-2015 02:35 PM

From home for now, but looks like I may have to open an office

Dead 06-16-2015 03:03 PM

No distractions at home? For me at home there is way to many distractions :1orglaugh

Goethe 06-17-2015 05:43 AM

I still have a day job so am out most days. Website work from home office.

ajrocks 06-17-2015 06:19 AM

I've been working from home for two years now. I mostly love it. Hang out with the dog, quite. You do miss people once in a while. Mostly it's fantastic!

Scott McD 06-17-2015 06:20 AM

Home for a few years now...

bronco67 06-17-2015 07:12 AM

The only thing I miss about 9 to 5 work would be my daily walk between the office and Grand Central Station. The streets of Manhattan are filled with honeys everywhere you turn your head.

and there's plenty to see on the subway also. I wouldn't trade the flexibility of being at home for anything now, but the New York city girl watching (and occasional eye contact) was really one of my favorite things ever in my life.

bns666 06-17-2015 08:35 AM

home office :thumbsup

SekobA 06-17-2015 09:17 AM

I think having a dedicated office helps. I mean, my home PC here had Call Of Duty on it, and from time to time I'll fire it up when I need a break.... But it's really not much different than taking a smoke break when you work in an office. I work 9-5 every day, meaning from 9-5 I am in front of my computer working.

I don't have co-workers coming in and distracting me with their personal issues or telling me their kid won some award, or that they need a favor during lunch because they don't have a car or what not.

SOOOOO much easier this way.

epitome 06-17-2015 10:27 AM

I work from home and have an office to meet clients.

Sometimes I need a change of scenery and switch things up.

I actually spend more time in my car than anywhere, so I guess that is my real office. Last year was nothing but traveling to clients, so airplanes, airports and hotel rooms were my office (I only did that for a year -- major props to the people who do that for decades -- I couldn't).

The other day I was marveling about how much has changed with technology. I used to drive around with a Verizon Wireless internet card plugged into a laptop that sat in my passenger seat.

Now I can do everything from my phone, including connecting to my computer if need be. Google Drive has made it so that I rarely even have to do that since everything is in the cloud. Before that, it was that I had to log onto my computer for QuickBooks, but that's in the cloud now, too. The software that runs 95% of my business (Buildium) is cloud based, too.

2MuchMark 06-17-2015 12:41 PM

I work full time from my house (Laval), and Tracy has a home office setup too. Our webmaster (Brooke) and Programmers (Ye, Graham, David) all work from their homes too in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver), and manage our server cabinets at Peer1 in Montreal.

We closed our chat studios a few years ago but are partnering with another company and opening new chat and production studios this fall, but after the initial setup I may still choose to work from home.

It's a little hard to get motivated sometimes thanks to beautiful parks and waterway nearby, but otherwise its perfect. I have 2 x 27" iMacs on my desk, killer sound system blasting Heavy Metal tunes to help me concentrate, small fridge loaded with Water & Redbull, and of course, endless coffee.

Kaja.Candidlooks 06-18-2015 07:16 AM

I have notebook so I work everywhere, in our studio, at home, in pub with friends :D
