Good software to record my desktop?
Good software to record my desktop? I have tried manycam, but it hogs the CPU and causes the audio to skip.

Mac, QuickTime.
PC, Camtasia. |
VLC can do it
Edit: Not sure if VLC will capture the sound |
The only screen recording software I've used is by a company named Tech Smith and they have SnagIT which I think will do what you need (try the trial) or Camtasia which is a lot more feature rich which again has a trial and I'm pretty sure will do what you want but at more of a premium.

Thanks for the help. Will try them out.

if you are using a Mac be sure to give Screenflow a try - by far my favourite.

+1 for Camtasia. also, I've never used it (it's mostly for gamers) but i heard Fraps is great too.
