If they thought it was fake... why didn't they say so at the time? I mean, they were able to track it, right?

Very little is mentioned about the second landing, on the south side of the moon.

Maybe they are firing a warning shot to the US, "if you don't stop fucking around we'll expose your lies!"

Yet another misleading title. Russia does not want to investigate anything. That was a sarcastic comment made by Markin (a guy known for talking all sorts of bullshit) as a response to the international investigation of corruption in FIFA. He can say anything he want, nobody here listens to him anyways. He can't investigate anything, because he's just a spokesmen, and he is certainly not Russia.

Funny to see how some local clowns got is seriously - you guys continue amazing me with your ignorance :)

So it's to get revenge on the US for investigating FIFA

Russia calls investigation into whether US moon landings happened - Europe - World - The Independent

"Russian Official Proposes International Investigation Into U.S. Moon Landings"

No, they are not. Finding some missing shit on Earth isn't investigation about Moon landings.

"An international investigation could help solve the mystery of the disappearance of film footage from the original moon landing in 1969, or explain where the nearly 400 kilograms of lunar rock reportedly obtained during several such missions between 1969 and 1972 have been spirited away to, Markin suggested.

"We are not contending that they did not fly [to the moon], and simply made a film about it. But all of these scientific ? or perhaps cultural ? artifacts are part of the legacy of humanity, and their disappearance without a trace is our common loss. An investigation will reveal what happened," Markin wrote."
