Is there a porn biz in New York?

I am in the city working on a mainstream film project, but kinda looking to shoot some naughty stuff for fun.

Its strange but i keep finding myself thinking, ok time to take your cloths off babe, oh wait, its not that kinda shoot.

But a "porn biz" in NYC? No. Illegal to shoot here so anyone doing shoots does them late at night, way out in Brooklyn or Staten Island.

You used to be able to find girls on Craig's List. Now Backpage. Some girls can be found via Sexy Jobs. But it will all be hotel room shoots. We don't have 'sets' per se.

However, going topless is now legal in NYC so maybe some cool gonzo-style nude street walking! :)

Going topless has been legal in my city for years and not once have I seen anyone topless except the day it became legal when one strip club had a lady pass out flyers and the once a year hippy festival where no one wants to see those kinds of boobs... :Oh crap

This - sometimes you get nice natural light but you have to learn which hotels turn a blind eye .... Dude you get talent off backpage? I tried that once, never again.

What mainstream project are you working on or is it hush hush?

Oh yeah man they are psychos but that's where you find the newbs....I don't do it anymore because after a dozen shoots and about fifty whackos I had my fill. But if you were hustling you could do it.

Also flying in talent from Florida and doing all day shoots works. I remember this one motel on w.49th St. seemed to turn a blind eye and it was cheap (like $89 a night). ALL the Backpage hookers and call girls worked out of that place. Crazy times.
