there is not 1 single second in that vid that changes anything. the flag can still be bought and sold. the flag can still be flown. so fucking what if someone can't buy a flag along with their adult diapers at walmart. they can buy it at a million other places. they can fly it with pride and talk with like minded confederate flag junkies about how cool the flag is and they can high-5 each other with pride over the confederate flag. all is still perfectly legal and protected by our COnstitution.

so again, who gives a shit about a fucking youtube about dixie pride. i'm proud of the epic shit i took this morning, i didn't make a fucking documentary short about it.

The point of the video is to explain to many ignorant people who misinterpret the flag. Not sure what seconds of the video "that changes something" you were expecting to see...

no, it's not accurate to handwave off people that interpret that flag as a symbol of racism as ignorant. flags represent a myriad of things to different people, for instance, the American flag certainly does NOT represent freedom to a lot of people, that doesn't make them ignorant. same with the confederate flag.

and that's not the point of the video either. the point of the video is to take a myopic view of a symbol and expect everyone else to embrace that view.

Flags represent what they are meant to represent. If some people misinterpret them or use for wrong purposes it does not change the meaning of the flag.
If I create a flag with sun and clouds and say it represents nice summer days and some people take that flag and says it represents something else - surely it makes them ignorant. Or if they take it and use it in the name of killing - it does not make that flag a bad symbol. It just means that some moron wrongly used it in the name of killing.

i don't make up reality, i simply observe it and echo that observation here. the simple fact is it's not reality to expect/demand/think everyone looks at something the exact same way over time and if they do not agree with YOUR view of it, they are the ignorant ones.
