OP, make sure you have your sig turned off the first few dozen times you post.

Once you've built up some credibility sharing high quality third-party content should you mix in your own stuff.

Above all else, your posts must be tailor fit to the specific community you're marketing to.

Don't forget that you can easily hide links in amongst your posts. For example there is a secret link in this one.
