Child and Parent rights and responsibilities belong to the state government and not the federal government so a lot of issues will be back in the federal courts.

Lots of people felt that way. Less than 10 years ago something like 30% of Americans supported same sex marriage. That eventually climbed to 60%.

I always thought the family argument was funny since my two best friends (who are a gay couple) are raising two foster kids (siblings) removed from a horrible home full of drugs, abuse and poverty. The parents were selling the free government formula for drugs. Those kids lives went from hell to a fairytale, since there happens to be both a ton of love and money. They're on the adoption path with the kids now.

Agreed. He was saying what he had to say to get elected (lying).

Once he had won his second term and never has to run again...he is able to now be honest.

That is the sad state of political affairs these days. :(
