Flu tips
Any advice or tip to heal faster
|
The best advice for the flu is to relax. Medication is not going to help much aside from relieve the symptoms. You need to let your body take over and do its job. Don't interfere with your body by being out and about and using up your energy, it needs every bit of energy that it can get to fight.
Drink lots of water. So much that you can't stand it. Force yourself to eat, and try sticking with simple nutritious foods. No candy. Fruits, vegetables, meats. It's hard when you are sick, but your body needs that power. Good luck! |
Garlic and Pertsovka with honey. Hrenovuha also works fine.

DO NOT FORCE YOURSELF TO EAT. The digestion process takes a lot of your energy. Don't waste it when you feel bad. Don't worry you won't die w/o food if you won't eat for a couple of days or a week. Drink chicken bouillon if you feel hungry. |
high dose Vitamin C
|
|
I had it this year.
It was the worst pain in my head for a week. Don't think there's much you can do but lay there and eat right. |

flu survivor here.
lots of sleep, fresh air, avoid extreme heat, warm or cold. drink a lot of water, take vitamin c (unheated, lemon in hot tea doesn't count). eat buttered mashed potato. when not taking meds, drink some pure shots (hungarian pálinka was sortof made for this reason, disinfects the hell out of you) along with some crushed raw garlic dipped in honey, take spoonfuls of it. drink hot water. simple hot water without anything in it. if you drink tea, go for fruit tea with freshly grated ginger. make sure you have the usual salt/sugar intake as well. you'll be okay. |

Live healthy. You know; eat well, sleep well, don't use alcohol, drugs, etc. Though don't exercise when sick.
|
shove a carrot up your ass; vitamines and antibodies spread faster through the intestinal wall.
|
The flu should not overly concern you unless you are very old or have a reduce immune system :2 cents:

No serious... what a bullshit... i tried it all... best is to throw some paracetamol in when you get first flu symptoms.... and relax more and work a little less... take a hot bath and sleep with warm clothes to sweat at night... drink water... that's all... Everyone in western world gets enough vitamins through regular food intake... supplements are bullshit... we live in a world of interweb-myths... An overdose of vitamine c is bad for your health... |

What this guy said. Water and rest are the best way. |
Spicy foods seem to help. Have something spicy a couple times a day and also drink hot tea with honey.

Paracetamol is incredibly harmful to the body, certainly not a good idea to be using it regularly, it's even dangerous in low doses, it's going to be banned at some point and people will look back on it as total madness. Make yourself a salad with garlic and onions in it.
Juice lemons into boiling hot water, stir and drink. Don't contribute to your existing toxicity level. :thumbsup |

Meds, increase your fluid intake especially water, and lots of rest. I can't stress enough the importance of rest.

Again..... You are not a scientist You are not a doctor You are not a medical researcher You are not an immunologist You know nothing about biochemistry You know nothing about human physiology You are not qualified to give medical advice You are nothing more than a mentally ill idiot on the interwebs frantically seeking out information to suit your own paranoid and delusional agenda. Your "conclusions" are the result of motivated reasoning, not a firm understanding of the science. |
I don't know that does this actually make any difference, but if you decide to take that vitamin C-option, use at least real vitamin C. You won't get it from a pill. The stuff in the pill is synthesized. That alone should make it pure evil at least to whateporn. You know, who knows what government puts into it. :)
Eat some kiwifruits instead (lots of vitamin C). |
