Add to this the number of apps etc that simply stream the audio from youtube and people that stream their songs rather than buy them..

Again I would expect some of the views are fake/paid to get the videos to rank higher in youtue...

Well, you see, it was the #1 song for what felt like 7 months.

So when people want to hear a song, they go to YouTube.

They're not necessarily watching the video.

At least it displaced Rude by MAGIC.

I spent the second half of 2014 traveling and would hear both of those songs on the radio at least every 3 songs... no matter what city I was in.

On my TV's, if I open youtube, it will show a default list of popular videos - charlie bit my finger, evolution of dance etc. It was like that for years and only recently just stopped. My point is that there are also a shit ton of ways like this where videos get views that we never think of, That said, its highly unlikely that the views are real.

1. The song sucks, big time.
2. Scott does have a small fetish for the bigger girls, he just won't admit it publicly.

why do people get so emotional about pop music? It's hardly a new thing, it normally appeals to younger audiences and it never lasts. So who cares? The world would be a fuckin dull place if everyone liked the same shit all the time.

What never lasts? Pop music or liking it? I think for example Beatles has excelled quite well in both. And in general old people listen the same shit they listened while being young, at least more or less. Some freaky stuff excluded.
