The HD31 airline seating concept (vid)
It don't look so comfortable... :)
Good advertising for the design company, but I can't see it getting approved by any civil aviation authority. Imagine how messed up a passenger evacuation would be.
got dizzy from watching this crap
Can you imagine how many people would get motion sickness during take offs and landings, because they were sitting backwards?
That's enough to make me take the train. Or not go.

i like it - no fighting over arm rest, no rubbing shoulders, lot more leg space
Completely stupid.
They have the nerve to say "High Density" and "Business class" in the same sentence. WTF. The airlines want to make more money, thats fine - just raise prices a little. The fold up chairs are a good idea though because loading a plane takes a very long time. And considering how many flights their are every day, even a 5 minute reduction in load times can add up to lots of savings in money and fuel I'm sure. Quote:
And besides you don't get motion sickness from the direction you are pointing. You get motion sickness when your body's movement can't reconcile with what your eyes see. Next time you're on a roller coaster, close your eyes and get ready to puke. |

Fucking idiots |

apparently it is safer to sit backwards

and i never had a problem driving backwards on trains or buses |
You look at films from 1940's and planes looked nice to be on in those days.
Today I do not know why anyone would go by plane as the whole process seems to suck. |
