You should go visit beautiful Syria or Iraq and explore ISIS controlled areas. I'm sure you'll be fine. After all, there's no such thing as "the boogeyman". They' are certainly not leaving a large path of murder and destruction in their wake. You'll do great. Good luck.

You'd be surprised how well they are organized.

A lot of former military officers are joining them. ISIS is currently kicking serious ass.

Seems they used some kind of a guided missile. The larger they get, the more arms they get.

They probably just steal them from an area they've taken over. :2 cents:

I don't believe they are too well organized. From news reports it sounds like ISIS has taken over large areas from both Syria and Iraq. But I saw a map on the news last week that detailed the areas ISIS controls, and the truth is there was four or five strong points with large areas of territory uncontrolled by anyone.

This seems to be common in the Middle East though. Pakistan is a good example - they are in control in areas around major cities and population centers, but in other areas there is little government control.

It's the whole point of them not to be "organized"; that's guerrilla warfare in it's basics.
"Decentralized command and combat".

dyna mo 07-16-2015 02:54 PM

USA only needed to control 2 cities, bagdhad and tikrit, to assume control over Iraq.

Yeah, but Isis tries to have.. well.. ISIS.. Islamic State (country).

To control and have a country; there is bound to be some centralization and control over ground.

They are only going to worry about that if they win the battles.
The only thing they are thinking about right now is winning battles.

Even Iraq was like that before we invaded.. Sadam didn't really control the entire country.

If you haven't noticed; they already control big areas. They have been controlling even bigger areas in the past. They already have some sort of a country, they have had it about a year now.

So, they have won many battles. War hasn't just started, it started over a year ago.

9 months-ish ago:

The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) is the richest terrorist network in history. It's making around $3 million a day from oil revenue, human trafficking, theft and extortion. In total, ISIS is worth around $2 billion. This is unprecedented in terms of the net worth of a terrorist organization.Sep 18, 2014

they can afford weapons.

Isis is a creature unearthed by the Zionists and Wahhabi.

As they move forward with attacks and push back armies, like Iraqs for instance, those armies may leave behind military hardware which will then in turn be used by ISIS. It's absolutely not outside the realm of possibility that they have tanks and guided missles at this point...
