Keeping your stuff private

Hey Everyone,

I am busy creating my content (I am a porn stories nerd ;) ) to get create some google love and just getting stuff set up.

Due to my other dull and mainstream job I want to keep this biz firewalled from everything else. My accountant has no issues with it but how do people who have done this for much longer and much better than I do it?

I do realise that there is only so much you can do but no harm in asking.

Well, there are two areas to consider: online and offline realities.

Online: Use proxy servers, WHOIS protection, fake names, logins, accounts, etc. NEVER use your real name if you can avoid it. And, if you cannot (for some security or financial reasons) then set up an LLC with a mainstream-sounding name (Internet Technologies Inc, shit like that). Different ICQ or Skype accounts, Facebook, Twitter, wipe your internet history every time you log off, etc etc.

Offline: seperate bank accounts, P.O. Box mailing address, different FedEx accounts, etc etc. And again, whenever you are forced to use your real name use your LLC/company name. Get a Federal Tax ID so it's not tied to your SS number, etc. I'm sure accountant can help with much of this.

Oh - and be careful. LOL Good luck!
