Dead deer...at dead Deere factory
Couldn't let this irony pass by...
Dead Deer Discovered in Dead Deere Plant July 30/15 http://storage.stcatharinesstandard....=1438296042151 The remains of a deer at shuttered Welland factory will be removed immediately, vowed Mayor Frank Campion. The carcass has been left to decompose behind a fence at the former John Deere plant at 475 Canal Bank St. for an unknown length of time, clearly visible from the empty parking lot. ?We don't want any property in Welland having rotting corpses on them,? Campion said, Thursday after being informed about the carcass. Campion said the property is owned by a consortium of businesses, and the city would be in contact with the owners to ask that the carcass be removed. ?Either we'll get them to take immediate action, or we will do something from our end,? Campion said. ?It's definitely something we don't like to see, and we'll take immediate action to remedy the situation ... This heat doesn't help the situation any.? Earlier this week, photographs of the deer carcass were posted on social media websites Instagram and Facebook by Dain City residents who noticed it while driving past the empty factory. Full story |
