It's the "what the fuck are you doing this weekend?" thread

Tonight i'm playing football (soccer) then going out for a few drinks.

Tomorrow the new season begins so i'll be watching the Celtic game on TV then heading out to a club at night to see dj Judge Jules.

Sunday will be spent recovering and probably some console gaming. Got a few new games to test out.

What ya got planned ?? Have a good one... :thumbsup

CurrentlySober 07-31-2015 08:14 AM

I'm having my Birthday tomorrow!

Therefore I will enjoy perusing the no-doubt multiple threads started by many various individuals expressing their love, well wishes and congratulations to me for being a year older...

That will probably take me all of about 10 seconds... :(

So then I'll have a poo... :)

My son is finally moving out of the house at 20. Not that I wanted him to go. So, since I have a pickup, I will be helping him move this weekend.

Strange to be an empty nester at 40.

PornoStar69 07-31-2015 08:24 AM

Early meeting with a charity group Saturday morning who wants me to join them, then a BBQ at a friend's house that afternoon. Sunday will be quiet because next weekend will be busy.

This weekend we'll be ntertaining our children. Children are the ultimate parasites. They take all your energy and all your money and just leave you enough to continue to serve them.
I'll enjoy the weekend though, hope you do too!

MaDalton 07-31-2015 01:00 PM

nothing since i'll be going to Scotland next week ;)

SilentKnight 07-31-2015 01:17 PM

Started a week's vaca today - the wife and I checked out Canal Days earlier this morning.

Picked up a truckload of firewood for our evening backyard campfires.

Tomorrow we celebrate our 17th anniversary...and Monday is my b'day.

No plans for the week off - maybe a few day trips. Mostly R&R...sun & beer.

EDIT :

I know you're a big rc flyer Mr Pheer, have you tried out the headplay fpv goggles? Just received them and I absolutely love them.

I havent seen a set of the Headplay goggles in person yet. But the reviews on them all say positive things. They certainly look funny though.

I fly with either my Flysight SPX-01 goggles, or my iPad Air 2. But mostly I fly the old fashioned way and just look at what I'm flying, because it's still fun to do it that way :)

ManPuppy 08-01-2015 07:17 PM

Shot a few scenes, did some editing, wondered if the rain would ever stop in Tampa Bay (today was Flood Watch Day 8), got a mindbending BJ from my 19yo buddy. I like my rut.

ClaireMonroe 08-01-2015 07:54 PM

Working my fingers to the bone blogging and modifying videos, etc. Probably a short time at the pool tomorrow if it's over 90 again and then back to work. I'm not stopping until I get where I want to be.

Vendzilla 08-01-2015 07:58 PM

Saturday was picking up flyers, then visiting 5 tasting rooms, delivering them.

Tomorrow I will shoot a beer and yoga thing (maybe it is yoga and beer) at one tasting room then I will visit four more, delivering flyers.

You didn't hear my air horns?

SilentKnight 08-02-2015 11:11 AM

Just got back from another photoshoot at our third carshow this season. Biggest one yet. A beauty day on the north shore of Lake Erie @ Port Colborne.

Spent the last two hours washin'/waxing my own wheels...and then off to anniversary dinner reservations at Cafe Amore. Then campfire tonight (if 'ma nature permits).

They definitely look different, they are extremely light though so even with their bulk they don't feel enormous on your head and they are quite comfortable too.

Never tried the flysight, look very similar to the fatshark ? I get what you are saying about flying line of sight, just a different experience fly as if you were in the thing, I love flying in tight spots just as much as larger higher speed locations.

Flysight has a front camera, so you can do picture-in-picture and not have to remove your goggles for landing, or you can see people walking up to you while you're flying. I believe they are higher resolution than fatshark goggles. They also have HDMI input which is why I bought them, for flying an Inspire or a Phantom 3 with the new HDMI output kit.

I really like the idea of a front camera, especially picture in picture part of it!

The Headplay have HDMI input so you can watch video / play games / etc.

I'll check out the flysight goggles, not a fan of fatshark and their insane prices.

Flysight goggles were $429 so you may not be a fan of these either. But you can play games on them. I plug mine into my laptop and use Realflight 7.5 in FPV mode.

Fatshark HD run higher than that from memory (over here anyways). I like the pip idea and will try flying FPV with realflight tonight, haven't even bothered to do that yet.

Have you raced any quads? QAV250 etc ?
