Revshare? It?s a beautiful thing.

If you really think about it, it?s a surreal concept.

These guys play a pivotal role in the industry and they certainly add to the excitement of adult marketing.

For the sake of discussion, we?ll be focusing on a Revshare model that applies to the online cam industry―and a rationale that too often, prevents people from promoting Revshare campaigns.

rev share on cam sites I would say is the easiest way to make money.

Saying it from day 1. Promote cams on revshare. There is a reason the big guys can do 150 pps on them.

I really need to get into promoting cams at some point, which sites would you recommend?

RevShare is king!

I use revshare, but you guys forget one thing, or at least don't mention it: probability. You need substantial amount of signups to have decent odds for landing that "whale" or even to reach the average in general. And statistically wise you need to achieve that in certain time frame as things change. That is why there is for example split testing instead of running one alternative first and second one later; things change, different time frames are not totally comparable, unless it is about comparing the time frames specifically.

Discounted cash flow is also an issue (time value of money), lessening the value of revshare.

Yep, agreed -- generally speaking, it does take time + volume to really do well with it.

However, regarding probability, technically speaking - not necessarily.

It's like those people who buy their first lottery ticket and in a fluke, win millions, having never been a regular player before.

Then there's those who spend $100 on lotto tickets during a big jackpot and win nothing, despite their increased odds.

Again, all it takes is ONE person at the end of the day. Cam sites provide a one-of-a-kind experience, so IMO it's not all that unusual or rare to land someone who is prepared to spend quite a bit of money on an excellent service. Just my :2 cents:

Well, I wouldn't base my business on winning in lottery. :) I don't think you would neither.

When it comes to pay sites it's important to research the sites you promote before deciding on revshare. revshare on twistys was a great move revshare on hahahahahahaha sites wasn't :)

You do not need whales.

You need simply people who will spend each month.

Even if you make $100 from revshare each month, thats great.
