...I still won't have enough time to get all my photos editted. :(

As it stands...I'm already eight photoshoots behind with the editing this summer. 3 car shows, jetboating, fly-boarding, college grad, Canal Days, assorted day trips...the list goes on.

Anyone else get behind the eight-ball when it comes to post-editing personal pics?

If you are editing them for yourself, does it really matter? Why not pick out a few photos from each series that you would like to share with others, edit them, then you'll be done quicker. What's the need to do a full edit of everything? You'll never be done.

There is no urgency on personal projects. We simply push them back again, and again, and again. Make it easier on yourself.

That's basically the way I do it - I just pick the cherries and edit the best ones. But I'm extremely fussy with the editing...sometimes a single shot can take an hour or two dependin' on how much tweaking and enhancing I do with it. It's not simple crop 'n color-correct.

Naw, sometimes I get pushed to rush them out - i.e. a jetboat ride the wife and daughter took this past Friday - my father needs my edited shots for a video he's putting together right away of their trip. I shot 280 frames (and 7 vid clips).

I don't edit personal photos unless I am going to publish those, share, etc. And then I of course edit only the ones I am going use.
