Mason Dixon line and current murder rates
 

Seven of the top ten states are South of that line. Seems odd that we would still have fall out from that war or something else?

I just have noticed that living in a really peaceful state gives me a different perspective then those of you who live in the violence prone ones. Even our bad areas aren't that bad.
